I'm not going to ruin the thread, but have never been able to get into his music. Frank Ocean either.
I enjoy Bon Ivers albums but I was in the pit for their show at Bonnaroo a few years back and it was so boring. I left maybe half way through. I just got the new album. Hopefully it's good.
That's fine. Saying they suck is ignorant though. I've really just been wanting to use that line recently, and it felt like a good time.
^^ Nxworries album (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge) could be in AOTY contention. Just listening for the first time now
Definitely enjoying the new Cloud Nothings. Hoping the rest of it is a lot more grittier/louder. Srs Psychic Trauma is like my immediate go to song when I get off work on Fridays.
It's a reference to the Howard Stern radio show host, John Hein. He had a website called "Jump the Shark", that he sold for a million dollars.
I've been listening to Real Estate a bunch over the past week or so. I had forgotten how much I loved everything they've put out. It's some of the best music to work to
ok i take back what i said about slim thug's album, i've been listening to it a ton and it has grown on me a good bit. not like the best thing ever, but i like it.
i hope you mean young thug lol. but if you're listening to slim thug and the boss hogg outlawz then you are the tightest motherfucker alive
j cole is cool but he's way more famous than he should be. not a whole lot to his songs but he's okay. 2014 forest hills drive is a cool album
Speaking of which, for the older crew on here, old guilty pleasures lists would be nice. Or some random shit your rotation. Just curious even though I know it will spawn hipsterfest 2016. I will start, not ashamed still love and listen to.... PJ Tool Pavement Sebadoh Afghan whigs Old deftones, like I don't go past Adreniline 9mm NOFX most anything Old Incubus Yo la tengo Sonic youth That's my list of older go to. Classical or pre 90 is a different story. Don't go to that well too often.
Not guilty pleasures just what I grew up loving: Nirvana Soundgarden The Smashing Pumpkins Alice In Chains Pearl Jam Stone Temple Pilots RATM Bela Fleck Steely Dan Zeppelin When I was in 3rd grade I had a cousin from New York move to Nashville for college at Belmont. At the time Belmont had next to nothing when it came to on-campus housing so he lived with us for his freshman year. Then in 5th grade a family friend from St Croix did the same thing for her freshman year. They exposed me to the parental advisory label and changed my life in the process
Talking Heads Faith No More INXS Big Audio Dynamite Violent Femmes New Order EMF just to name a few off the top of my head
