Might have been just me but when you lock your condoms in your room and your buddy has the key, it is a fucking movie worthy adventure trying to find/buy a condom in a 3rd world country.
I'm the finalist for a job that includes 10-15 trips a year across the US, double the time off and 40% higher salary. i could do thangs go me imo
Converter Ear buds (if you're in a hostel, you need something to drown out noise) Mini backpack is something I always fucking forget that I get pissed about every time Deck of cards Safe to get a photocopy of passport Locks, bring your own, lock your shit zipped, and to lock lockers Hoping you didn't forget a bathing suit Most of the shit that you REALLY need you can buy if necessary.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do That reminded me to get one. $7 and here by Monday #blessings
I'm looking at Peru. Fort Lauderdale to Lima for $500 (direct) and then bus from Lima to Machu for $60.
Got locks from Walmart for $5. Combo locks so no key to worry about. I'm definitely taking this eye mask from the plane with me. Couldn't find the mini backpack that came with my osprey so that sucks.
Is that the JetBlue flight? That's the one I'm taking, from Ft Lauderdale. There is a bus, but it takes 20+ hours, so Im flying to Cusco
Had to refind this post. Seattle was awesome so thanks for all the points. RockCreek was fucking outstanding. And its a cool little spot/building too. Weather was good so doors and patio were open so lots of light and cool air going through the place. Had my first oyster shooter . But everything was really great here. Also thanks to the thread for clarifying/opening my eyes to Airbnb. Both places (Seattle/Vancouver) were perfect. Professionally cleaned, great value. Easy to get the keys and had the whole apartment both times. Stayed right in downtown areas and could walk to the major stuff. Totally buy-in to Airbnb now. Whistler shot up to one of my 3 favorite places ever. We stayed at a lodge (Nita Lake Lodge) that sat right on a lake. We splurged for the lake view and it was just awesome. I pretty much decided my happy place is in the mountains somewhere. Plus Whistler is just a really cool town that (we were told) has had their summer tourism outdraw Winter now. Just so much to do there. Just look how absurd this zipline is. You got about 50-55MPH and it lasts over a minute. Shit crosses an entire valley. Our lake view:
Fuck that. I'm spending the day prepping my body for yacht week lol. Got me a couple hour nap, now I can have a couple drinks and dinner and hit the bed early. Get up at 4am and head to Croatia. My old ass needs a little bit of rest before I do this.
Oh and The Yellow seems like the place to be in Rome. Nice bar, tons of activities going on, lots of people, etc. They don't have much of a lounge/relax type area but oh well.
yea but seriously the mussels bruschetta was the best of the starters. my wife was taking pictures all over the place so im sure she has one of it. it was mussels and sauce and other good stuff piled on top of a 2" thick piece of fresh bread.
Yeah if I did hostels again it would have to be AC. That was just brutal. Overall though next trips probably do AirBnb with the girl though. Cheaper than hotels and just try and locate them near the good areas so you still meet people.
Oh yeah, forgot this was before Yacht week. In that case rest up. Go to Cantina Luciefero for Dinner.
Yeah me and southside made sure AC was in every place we are going. Only one we booked without it was stone bar dorm on ko phi phi because we felt that location was worth it
You don't notice AC in Thailand till late anyways. Every room I had there was the type that turned all the power off when you left.
It's SE Asia in the middle of summer, you're going to be a sweaty mess everywhere you go all the time, and hardly anywhere has AC. But everybody is and you get used to it. I guess it'd be worth it for sleeping, but I stayed primarily in hostels without it and it never bothered me too much.
I normally never noticed it until the morning when I woke up. Except the couple days I was so hung over that I never left my room.
Old Italian ladies yelling at each other is one of the coolest things I've ever heard. And the yellow is definitely awesome.
Loved the yellow. Met some awesome people there and raged at the bar before going to the place next door and chugging 40s.
We've been chilling in a business class lounge in the Beijing airport for like 3.5 hours now with another 3 or so to go. Best decision ever
I survived day one. They combined both routes this week so there are like 50 boats on our route. The parties are going to be insane.
I liked Gordon's Wine Bar. Underground (literally) candles, alcohol. Be a pretty good place to bring an s/o.
