Use Messenger most of the time but do switch back and forth. Wish they could just be combined because I like features on both.
The 5.0.2 update to the LG G2 has been pretty amazing. I've got so much love for LG after using this thing and seeing them continually improve it along the way
Just threw this on today and I like it. Do you have calendar events on your lock screen? I can't get mine to work.
I'm on textra. anyone try to sideload lmy47m on the nexus 6? I still haven't gotten the OTA, so I tried two files tonight. kept getting an error 7 code.
I will be so happy if they add play and pause on Pocket Casts to this list. Google Introduces Custom Voice Actions Like “OK, Google, Listen to NPR” (Updated): http://www.droid-life.com/2015/04/3...m-voice-actions-like-ok-google-listen-to-npr/
That and voice feedback on texts (previewing message and recipient) are all I need to go truly hands-free.
The phone I bought off Swappa only came with a weak charger. I bought an Aukey 2.0 charger, and wow it charges fast.
LG needs to hurry the fuck up and put their new phone on sale. Y'all bitches are really going to wait 4 fucking weeks?
After making the conversion myself over from the iphone my pops and older brother have made the transition.
So i have downloaded an app on my phone and ipad. its called at home video streamer. lets me watch what is going on with my dog while im at work. or while im sleeping. basically it is a glorified baby monitor, but should help me figure out why she wakes up when she does and what she does during the day. Obviously this app could be used for many reasons , such as home security or perverted reason. It even allows you to talk to the dog/flash(if using phone as recorder to see if in the dark. you can record, take a picture and set up motion detectors that give you notifications to use it if you dont want it on all the time. Great use of an old phone or computer with camera. Might can catch something to show the vet if something is going on with your dog or someone or something is stealing food, shitting in your yard etc. ITs free and has helped me a lot of stuff with my pup. Im sure their might be a better app out there but thought id give you all the heads up. sorry about the dog talk
Interesting find in the Project Fi documentation regarding Messenger versus Hangouts: http://www.droid-life.com/2015/05/0...that-you-use-messenger-for-sms-over-hangouts/
Android M will be at I/O: http://www.droid-life.com/2015/05/06/android-m-will-debut-at-google-io-this-month/
I still can't find a good SMS app that works with iphones 100%. Whether its hangouts, messenger or any of those other ones I always seem to have people that I can't get texts from that have iphones. Don't want to go back to regular messages but might have to.
Had this issue with the gf. It worked once she set her iPhone to send messages as sms and it's worked with textra for me. I didn't know messenger was immune to that, but good to know.
Go SMS Pro works 95% of the time with me for group and single person text threads, and the lacking 5% seems to be when someone tries to send a picture from iMessenger on their computer.
Before I post something substantial: can we talk about carrier plans in here, or would that be considered a tangent?
It's kind of a cheap complaint but I'm not liking one thing about this new update. Used to be when I locked my screen while I had music playing, the lock screen would show the album cover. Now I just get that stupid little banner with the song title on the screen.
Got a text from straight talk, as a BYOD customer starting next month I get 5GB data/month now instead of 2.
My wife's office bitches about people using their wifi and steaming and slowing the network down. I'm in a regus office and they charge out the ass for data. So we both use our data plan all day
My company complained about employees getting on the wifi as well. They couldn't ever track who was using it but they sent out an email asking employees to stop using it. I can't get it where my office is located anyway.
I think it is a decent sized company. Just assholes. I hope to set up a Wi-Fi connection in my office and connect to that
You have to be rooted and on a non-Samsung phone. It allows you to install custom modules which can change just about any aspect of your to your liking. My favorite module makes Pandora commercial free, gives unlimited skips, and any time I thumbs up a song it downloads it for me automatically.
