I have boots and wear them here, just don't know what to make of the stereotypes about all white and mexican texans wearing boots.
looking at another pair of square toes, $400 is about my limit and I have real high arches so any in sole recommendations would be appreciated too
At that price, I'd look at ostrich. I bought my Rios of Mercedes for right around $400 but that was a few years ago.
Rios they will be my next purchase. Someone told me people are stopping the production of the ostrich quill boots. Anyone else heard this?
which when you searched for a thread title "boot", the titles with "boots" also come up also im all up in this thread
Picked up these while my seven year old Lucchese's are being refurbed at the factory. http://www.cavenders.com/western/cowboy-boots/mens-boots-shoes/exotic-square-toe-boots/BJCH6368V3 Love them.
and when yall refer to lucchese, do you mean classics or since 1883 or cowboy collection? is there a big difference?
I like them a lot so far. The big thing about Lucchese is their service and longevity, so I won't know for several years how they really line up. Initial quality, comfort, and appearance is off the charts for the Black Jacks though. The leather is badass.
there seem to be several different lines of boots: "Lucchese Classics" and "Lucchese Since 1883" for example the classics appear more expensive and handmade, but that might not necessarily be true (i have seen the "cowboy collection" too on other sites but i don't know anything about it either) http://www.lucchese.com/collections.php
and look at the difference in the "midfoot" of the two different lines: Spoiler ^ looks hand tacked and sculpted
these are the ones i bought a while back http://www.cavenders.com/western/cowboy-boots/mens-boots-shoes/exotic-square-toe-boots/LCL7507W8
Gf's family all went in on buying her dad some nice boots for christmas. We spent 2.5 hours at Cavender's and he talked himself into getting these $870 bad boys. I'm a "city boy" in their eyes, I guess I'm not understanding the appeal other than high price but they look hideous.
all hornback boots are like that i really want this pair next http://www.cavenders.com/western/cowboy-boots/mens-boots-shoes/exotic-square-toe-boots/LCY7143W8
Bought these today http://www.cavenders.com/western/cowboy-boots/mens-boots-shoes/roper-boots/JUS03714 Really want these http://www.cavenders.com/western/cowboy-boots/mens-boots-shoes/roper-boots/LN8793C2 The Lucchese's felt amazing and fit perfectly, but I can't really afford to spend $300 on boots so I held off for now. Later this year I will get some though. Eventually I want these http://www.cavenders.com/western/co...xotic-roper-boots/LCL7825C9?cm_vc=productpage
http://www.feetrelief.com/feetrelief/sher_ez_post.htm These are wonderful. The leather will stretch to accommodate fitting these in. I use the 3/4 instead of the full insole, but only b/c that was what my podiatrist gave me (maybe that was all that he had in stock). They have made my arches feel so much better. I put them in all of my shoes right on top of whatever insole come in the shoe. I use the neutral post
Need a new pair due to the welt getting worn out. Would like to spend no more than $150...ideas? I've had the Mexico-made Justin ropers mostly...would be fine with anything that quality or better.
I've got a pair of these and really like how they feel. http://www.sheplers.com/Justin-Bent...tegoryId=448&categoryId=449&subCategoryId=450
I've got a pair of Lucchese ostrich and Lucchese hornback caiman that I wear with suits. Both are fantastic.
