Link is dead. Who's on the team? I think TC is really good. He's just been unfortunate with his teammates and supports.
How good is Sumail's brother? I know EG was trying him out before Aui became a free agent. Bulba was really good on old Team Liquid, but hasn't done anything since. They look pretty mediocre on paper.
imagine being sniper and thinking it's a good idea to lane against lycan. imagine being sniper and talking shit all early game imagine being sniper when lycan hits lvl 6
Being able to watch anyone play in client is pretty awesome. If there's a hero I want to try out, I just filter the hero and watch someone of high skill play.
reborn matchmaking is all sorts of fucked up im getting normal skill bracket games (avg mmr is probably sub 3k) http://yasp.co/matches/1749327365 830gpm PA
I've played him a bunch in bot games to get a hang of things and usually went treads, mek, manta. Can you play him in another lane besides Mid?
He can farm either side lane with a support. Pretty much only spot he doesn't belong is solo offlane and jungle.
Alright nerds I watched your The International 5 thing and tried to follow along so now you should tune into some Team Fortress 2 this weekend. A bit of background: Valve has given literally zero support to the competitive scene in TF2. Everything in TF2 related to competitive TF2 is community-driven, including map making (only one of the maps is a non-customized map), customizing HUDs, running competitive leagues, etc. And funding LANs. The Insomnia LAN series is hosted in the UK and has a large summer TF2 tournament. Three years ago (at i46), two North American teams were sent to Europe to play the best of Europe. They stomped all of Europe and met in the finals. Two years ago (i49), another NA team was sent along with the best team from Australia. Last year, two NA teams and the Australians again. This year, the two best NA teams are going again and there is a European star team put together to win i55 (and beat the NA team going this year that won last year... and hasn't really lost in like 2 years). Here's a wiki page to explain the tourney: http://comp.tf/wiki/Insomnia55 Group play starts tomorrow. All of the good teams will play in a round robin to determine seeding for the weekend's tournament. Prize pool does not come close to Dota 2 or LoL, but again, it's community-funded. And i think it's maybe the biggest prize pool in the history of TF2: $7400 (divided by six players). The teams you may care about if you tune in: 1. Froyotech - won i49, has won the North American league for like six straight seasons, and features maybe the two best players in the game. However, one of their mainstays quit before the season began and they've had some roster shuffling over the last couple of months. 2. Reason - the all-star European team formed for i55. The Team Secret equivalent of a TF2 team - except these guys are really, really good and there's no in-fighting or whatever. Two of the six were on the Euro team that won i49 (this tourney two years ago). 3. Ascent - the other NA team. Basically, if Froyotech has the #1 (or #1 and #2) players in the region on their classes, Ascent has #2 (or #3 and #4). They too had to make a roster change before the tourney due to someone not being able to attend... but they picked up someone who is really, really good. 4-6. All are Euro teams that will be interesting to watch, but I would expect the three teams above to be the top 3 teams. The tournament itself wouldn't be presented like TI5 or anything, but it's actually really impressive what the production looks like when you consider it's all volunteers. Most of the people who'll produce the casts are young/in school and who use the LANs as experience for whatever it is they're trying to get into. You can find coverage info here: http://www.teamfortress.tv/28191/insomnia55-viewer-s-guide And this shit will be easy to follow because it's in the UK so it starts at like 11 AM EST/8 AM PST. Check out a kind of eSport that is totally community-driven and not yet dictated by sponsors and whatnot (so casters will get drunk on stream as the night goes on) and instead driven by passion and fun for a pretty great (and free) game. Also - it's a first-person shooter so, you know, the asians suck at it and it's a great NA/European competition. The Froyotech - Reason group play match will be found here in seven hours: http://www.twitch.tv/teamfortresstv
Yeah, it's a free-to-play FPS. Valve is actually instituting some competitive aspects to it shortly. Everyone is pretty excited. The competitive format most commonly played is a lot different from what a regular public server is like, though: http://comp.tf/wiki/6v6 get ready: http://www.teamfortress.tv/stream/teamfortresstv
i used to play highlander in an amateur competitive capacity. that was fun then they added sixty million new weapons and the game spun out of control
Watched a little of Yawar's stream yesterday. Good lord what a rager. He's really good, but gat damn the rage.
Yeah, if his stream was on RTZ channel you would assume it was RTZ. The music plus the rage. Dota 2 drama is good, you guys familiar with some American named Glass Dota or something? He'd been play since WC3 days, but wasn't as good as he thought. So he had Russians boost his MMR to 5.5k, but he's not that good so he dropped down into the 4s again. But he was trying to start some academy thing and charge people for coaching and what not. That ChiLongQua clown exposed him on YT, then he made a confession video for sympathy and to say he was going to keep going. Entertaining shit for a Friday at work.
On a related note, the simply Dota YouTube channel is a great resource. Roro is the dude behind it, and is trying to turn it into an online Dota university type thing where anyone can "teach" courses. Doubt that takes off but his videos are very helpful to anyone starting out.
i wish someone would make a custom map where the clock was always restarting at xx:45 so i could practice chain pulling.
Watched Aui play last night and he was KotL jungling Dire side and stacking three camps at once. Shit was nuts.
Apparently Reborn client will be mandatory "soon". This is Valve we're talking about though... Matthew Bailey@Cyborgmatt New strings reference that Dota 2 Reborn will soon become mandatory. Start your download now to beat the queue! 1/2
