Glad it all made it. That shipper is the tits. I think marcus stole my other one. No clue what year that Underdark or Green Room are. Neither have years on them. Both are either 13 or 14's. Someone here will probably know the Underdark. Green Room used the same logo both years. Only difference was the bottle shape. I had 2 of one and 1 of the other. Gave you one of the one I had 2 of. I called the bartender and asked if he knew the difference but he had no idea. Pliny is about 2 weeks old so it should still be fresh. Enjoy!
It's much appreciated, friend. And yes, this shipper is pretty badass. I already have it filled up for you and ready to go.
Probably somewhere. My wife signed me up for 3 months of a beer of the month thing last year. The beers were terrible but the shippers were awesome. They basically fold around the bottle and then just slide into the box. They have little slits at the bottom and you flip the one down you need to hold that particular bottle/can in place. They hold 2 cans or a bottle up to a 22oz fine. Each shipper has 6 slots. I've used 2 of those for 750's before. It worked but made it super tight to get them into the box. It takes literally a minute to pack a box and you're done. No tissue, no newspaper, no baggies, no peanuts, nothing. Hopefully pictures can explain better than I did:
Tell your friends to get with my friends, and we can be friends. Shit, we could do this every weekend, aight?
TDintheCorner I went to wrap TDintheCorner 's stuff and realized I was out of packing supplies. 100% chance he gets his box and packing supplies back now. Now I just need marcus to ship in his styrofoam container
Also TDintheCorner since our original PM was lost in the crash I've completely forgotten what is in the growler....
Glad to see everything made it OK. This was a particularly worrisome package since I stuffed everything in there so tight
it was delightful, btw. as I've said before ITT, it's a great space. close to town, while feeling miles away. their sole official offering was a calibration version of the English pale they had in the market last fall that was contract brewed. this one sat in the whirlpool longer than expected (and efficiency was higher than expected) making this more like an English IPA >7%. Tasted damn fine. Also tried some of their summer pale ale out of the fermenter that they cold-crashed earlier today. very tasty, light, citrusy, summer beer. the wild yeast projects are going to be released to market around the end of June/beginning of July. brought a couple of bottles that we shared in celebration after the tours ended. good times. drunk as motherfuck now.
put in an offer on a house today. has a 600 sqft outbuilding that will become my brewery. t's & p's please.
Next Sunday I will be in Asheville picking up Golden Angel, Maceo and as many other beers as my wife will allow. Also, I will be really drunk and eating at Curate. I am excite.
Sweet brag here, had a couple pours of Prop last night at a surprisingly quiet Migration Week event. It was in Brooklyn and not Manhattan, so that may have been the reason it wasn't so crazy.
Just got this text from my ABC guy letting me know Café Americana is in. Shit like this is why I take him beers.
How hard is it to get barrel from a brewery? I have no idea if they re-use them or not. Any idea what they'd cost? Wife wants to make a table and has tasked me with finding a barrel. She wants something like this:
TW Tampa only got one case of Caffe Americano in. I got the first bottle for only $13 because I'm awesome. I got 4 of them in total a bunch of people didn't get any. What a bunch of assholes.
Prairie sells their empties for $50 or something like that. A lot of times they are a lot more though. Closer to $100 from what I understand.
Just fucking with you. I had my guy hold 5 for me but 3 are already going to Spaulding, marcus (if he ever sends my shipper back), and Doug Osser.
