Zack Zedalis thanks for the card. I hate getting cards and i always recycle them like the enviro fag that i am, but I'm keeping this motherfucker. Tried some Surly Fest today and i wanted to buttfuck myself with an pike pole and 2.5 inch hose line. Had to switch over to sweet delicious high life to get the butthole taste out of my mouth.
Went to Proof yesterday on the way out of Tally after the game. Had Lala Land (lol) west coast ipa and Skittlweiss, gf had Warpath imperial ipa and La-de-freakin-da saison (proof/intuition collab). All were solid, crowlers of Lala Land and Creatures in the dark to go These fuckers were trying to charge $18 for a crowler of Warpath
The wife and I were just talking about how awful it was driving to the hospital at 11pm and snowing while I was speeding due to her losing her shit. An hour later the little man was here. Time goes by fast. Anyways, how bout them redskins
Had a habenero sculpin today, spicy. Complimented my deli sandwich quite well though. Wifey was heated when I doped her into taking a sip.
So, ballast point just sold for ONE BILLION DOLLARS to constellation brands (they own modelo, corona, and a bunch of other #brands).
I drank so many Street Greens on Saturday. It was so delightful to wash down the Oregon win over Stanford. /tweet
I'm not really sure how I feel. If I was in BP's shoes, I can't blame them for taking the $. I mean, that's just an absurd amount of money. So, more power to them for that. However, as a consumer, it's a bit different. We don't get BP in Michigan, but if we did I could see myself buying an occasional 6er of sculpin - but there's just so much competition in the market at this point. There are few beers that I regularly buy, really. But moving forward, it probably does change my perception of them a bit. If they continue to put out good quality, I'll still drink it from time to time. But if it turns into goose island's AB beers in the supermarket, I have no interest. I guess there is kind of a difference in how some of these transactions are taking place. Selling the entire thing (Goose, BP, elysian, golden road) seems like it's more problematic. Whereas situations like lagunitas, firestone walker, boulevard all strike me as less evil (and actually can be good things with more capital available). It's probably too early to tell.
Hobgoblin served at cellar temps is an enjoyable experience. I've been in the mood for English ales lately. that said, drinking a Backwoods Bastard right now
I wasn't drinking for about 3 months cuz of meds (all done now) but I'm back at it and started last week.. Xocoveza tonight, New English last week. I'm back.
The numbers work out pretty well if you are just looking to keep it simple and aren't looking to get rich. Don't mess with bottling or food at first. I'll shoot you the numbers we came up with a few years ago. Should still be pretty relevant
What did you think of this one? I'm biased but think it's perfect for a one beer/sipper kind of night
Anyone going to MBCP Day? Plan on riding down on the Brew Bus but can't find anyone that wants to go from Tampa.
Still kicking the idea around, though I'm not sure the timing is right. Then again, when is it ever right? I'm sure you figured it out, but this is in reference to the berkley front. I'm confident a 5-10bbl brewpub could work there, based on the location, the place, and some rough numbers I did as well. Totally agree on packaging & food. I think a setup with pub beers, guest taps, and some very simple food options would be a good fit. The place might need some re-design, but it has the entire upstairs to work with too - which has always been kinda wasted. Anyway, send me what you came up with - and a check for your investment. Thank you.
Hey guys, anybody interested in going halfsies for Modern Times membership? I wanted to offer you guys first before asking my buddies locally since they can take full advantage on their own. Take a look at the details and we can work everything out. I believe there's a few guys that visit San Diego every so often I be http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2465176 - Memberships go on sale Dec. 1st.
Sure it's been mentioned ITT, but if you ever visit Colorado, try some Colorado Native. Some of the best stuff I've ever had.
I fucked up...wrong pic. We dont do much rice in the upper midwest...those are lumpy mashed taters. Big fan of rice and pork chops...beans over rice.
I stared at it for a moment and thought it must be some starchy-ass rice, but I swore I saw some rice-shaped bits in it.
WnB has seemed too acidic for me to enjoy lately. Got my first sixer of the year of Jailhouse Breakout Stout. Has the roasty, coffee flavor. Is 8%. And $10 for 6. It's my go-to.
