Bought some Founder's Backwoods Bastard, 11.6% bourbon barrel aged ale. Two 4 packs set me back 40 bucks so I hope it's good.

4 hour drive from gf's parents house in South Florida turned into 6.5 because some shitdick committed an armed robbery in Daytona and then lead police on high speed chase on I-95 that ended in a shoot-out causing ridiculous delays. I earned this one

First, happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope it was awesome. Seattle people, by and large, sleep on beers from outside the PNW. Worked out well for me. Limit two per person, and one rare. Made the pops go with me.
Is Rare the same size bottle as the rest? If so fuck Goose Island really hard. I mean I'm guilty of overpaying but $65 is rape.
That is correct. I'm heading to get a rape kit right now to verify the crime that was committed on my wallet.
Did you go or are you there? Just realized that they are open at 10:00 not 9:00 like I thought. They only have 8 bottles of Cantillon and by the time I get there it will be when they are open and I'd guess they'd be sold out.
Bought two bottles of the regular and one bottle of the barleywine. Passed up on buying a bottle of the rare because it was 80 a bottle.
So we spent about $600 on beer today. First place we went was selling rare for $100. Ramen it is for the next month!
Rare is around 80 here. One store had it for 55 but they only had a couple bottles to raffle off to buy. I'm guessing the staff of the store bought the rest.
For some reason whole foods was running a 25% off special on craft beer. That included BCBS and rare which was $60 a bottle. Pretty tight.
update: it was awesome. in addition to lots of beer, had the best wings I've ever eaten. also had the "Bad Mother Clucker" for dinner. basically a huge red lobster biscuit with a chick fil a style chicken breast on it.
BevMo right by me only had BCBS, but had no limit and I was first in line at 8 am. I ended up picking up 8 bottles total and 6 for myself.
heading to Southern Brewing today. saw the owner last night and he said he's gonna bring out some special bottles for me to sample
