In southern missourri for a week. Getting shitfaced and no kid's. Would like to run around and find stuff I usually can't get, however, I'm pretty sure everything is accessible up in God's country. Arkansas any good?

http://thefullpint.com/beer-news/shorts-brewing-set-to-expand-outside-of-michigan-exclusive-details/ Short’s Brewing Set To Expand Outside of Michigan – EXCLUSIVE DETAILS JANUARY 28, 2016 BY DAN FILED UNDER: BEER NEWS, SHORT'S BREWING (Belaire,MI) – Short’s Brewing just announced in press release and social media that against their strong statement of staying Michigan only, that they would be expanding distribution out of state. They haven’t made mention of exactly where. We’ve learned they are headed for both Pennsylvania and Illinois. During this time, they will be evaluating other markets as well. Here is the official press release as well as a handwritten note from Joe. Cheers. Elk Rapids, Mich. – Short’s Brewing Company of Bellaire, MI announces plans to distribute its beer and Starcut Ciders outside of Michigan. The brewery, which was founded in 2004 by Joe Short, has distributed only to the state of Michigan since opening its production facility in 2009. Joe Short said the decision to move away from the company’s Michigan only sales philosophy was not an easy one. He feels a responsibility to make decisions that help the company continue to excel at providing for their staff, investing in their community, and pushing the boundaries of creativity in their craft. In 2015, Short’s increased their distribution in Michigan by 24.2%. With the Michigan craft beer scene thriving and shelf space getting tighter, Short’s decided to implement a plan that would allow for sustained growth amidst the increasingly crowded market. Short’s has never sold to any outside investors or other breweries, and remains independent. Joe Short stated, “My role is to ensure that we continue to thrive as a business and take care of our staff. Over the past couple of years, we have built a dream team of staff and infrastructure needed to produce our hand-crafted beer on a scale that ensures a constant supply to the state of Michigan. We currently have both the capacity and the personnel to sell more beer and cider than just the Michigan market, without compromising the quality of service to our home state.” Short’s is excited for the opportunity to provide beer lovers throughout the country with the experience of Short’s Brew, connecting them with northern Michigan. Former Michigan residents and travelers alike have long awaited the opportunity to enjoy one of their favorite Michigan brews year-round. Out of state distribution will begin February 5th.

kennypowers Upton^2 Tobias Anyone going to breakfast at Good Bottle tomorrow morning? Got a pass from the wife to go and wanted to see if anyone else is going. Skillet Donut on tap.
Maaaybe. Just got some more funky Buddha in and I'm itching to have a reason to bust out some last snow/MBP.
had Boneyard Notorious on tap holy shit that's an amazing and dangerous triple IPA 12% alcohol but is tamer than a lot of double ipas
The brewery is an old warehouse and looks really cool inside but it is Hipster Central. I used to live in Nordeast and by my experience, it is the most hipster of any of the NE Mpls breweries. Bauhaus could give it a run for its money but to me they lean more hippie than hipster.
i have no idea where nordeast is, never heard of bauhaus, fuck hippies, and i'm drinking a hipster beer????
"Nordeast" Minneapolis, so named because the Eastern European immigrants could not enunciate Northeast, is the best neighborhood in Minneapolis IMO. NE/SE Minneapolis refers to the portion of Minneapolis that is on the East Bank of the Mississippi. SE is where the U of M is located, NE is the area North of Hennepin Ave. I lived near Main Street and Nicollet Island which is the birthplace of Minneapolis (although that part was called St. Anthony at the time). That area is like Uptown without the douches. Surdyk's, Kramarczuks, Nye's, Bulldog NE, etc. Further north (just drive up University Ave or Marshall Ave) you have cool places like Gasthof's, Psycho Suzie's, etc and a crap load of small hole in the wall bars (Mayslacks, Elsie's, 1029, Tony Jaros) that are representative of its blue collar, immigrant roots. It was a great place to live in my 20s. I could walk downtown or hit up NE. The original Grain Belt brewery was on Marshall Ave & Broadway so they named a beer after the neighborhood.
i went to psycho suzies once and it sucked all of the dicks in the world. alllll of the dicks. i also have a 12 pack of grain belt sitting outside on my patio right now. the rest of the places, i have no idea where they are or what you are talking about. i need you to be my tour guide for a weekend of exploratory minneapolis probing. i do need new friends up here, so will you be my minneapolis friend?
Just crushed a nap and decided to go hang out at wooden robot and watch some basketball. Bad mistake, place is like a god damn club right now. Not standing in that shit for average beer.
That sucks. Yeah, it's not really that great and the layout is just no bueno. I'd imagine Sycamore is insanely packed. I think we're going to Salud/Fud at Salud tonight
I was going to do wooden robot then sycamore but no mas. Ended up at bulldog and may head over to craft .
