Def hit up The Commons Brewery, fantastic beer. Other than that, trust the locals like DiggityDux for recs there. There is a new "best brewery in town" opened about every 2 weeks so it's kind of hard to keep up living in Eugene. Just wait till you start looking at food options...
Already have and already overwhelmed. Originally was only planning to spend 3 days in Portland (4 in Seattle and 3 in Vancouver). Ended up changing to 4 in Portland and Vancouver with 2 in Victoria in between. Still doesn't seem like enough for all of the beer and food.
It is not the Fantome collab, unfortunately. It still hasn't hit here yet. I think they're still getting approval.
i'm really enjoying it. i'm not picky though, what's good to me is good to me and might not be suitable for a super refined palette. i'm also a three floyds fanboy
the nicest thing I can say about Hopworks is their beer is cold & wet...maybe it's me but I think they fucking suck
Fair enough. I don't really want to fuck with shitty places when there's always a better one in a place like Portland.
DarkLordDay @3F_DarkLordDay 4h4 hours ago For you folks asking about ticket price - $200 = entry to #DLD16, 4 btls of '16 Dark Lord, 1 BA Dark Lord, and $40 of food & drink vouchers
I am just sad that's the only way to get it, at least that's what I assume. Price isn't that bad--you get 5 bottles.
so one of my favorite local gastropubs has had Funky Buddha and Maine Beer Co. beers in the last 2 days on Taphunter. the man works magic (or the shaft... either or)
will be in Denver this weekend. will probably hit up Great Divide, but damn there's so many other options too
Hey tjosu my brother is in Tulsa for work for about the next month and a half and was wondering the best bars / beer stores to hit?
Go to the Trump Hotel. He has the best beers. His beers are great. You won't believe how great his beers really are. Magnificent beers. Just the best.
Aces and ales gets the hype, but is off the strip. Public house in the Venetian is solid. Monte Carlo pub is solid. Zack Zedalis recimmended a place called tacos and beer that I wanted to hit but didn't end up making it to. Overall Vegas is pretty meh when it comes to beer. Getting better though.
Oh I know where he is, that's a good area. Probably the best beer bar close to him is McNellie's at 71st and Yale, it's just a little down the road from him (they also have a downtown location if he's down there much). My favorite beer store in Tulsa is also down 71st from him but it's a little further, it'd be a 15-20 minute drive, Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar. They typically have a really good selection and pretty good prices. That store is also in a really booming shopping area (there's a fairly new Gander Mountain). I know there's a store in Broken Arrow that I've heard also has pretty good beer stock but I can't think of the name right now, I've actually never been there as when I lived there I was right across the highway from that Tulsa Hills place so that was and still is my go to. I know the Prairie taproom is open quite a bit now but it's in a random place that isn't really convenient to get to. If he's downtown and has some time to kill he should check out the Marshall taproom. That's a smaller Tulsa brewery that puts out some pretty solid stuff and their taproom is normally pretty cool.
Thanks man. I know he hit the Prairie tap room his first weekend and he mentioned it was kinda hard to find but it was pretty good. I'll mention the Marshall taproom to him too.
I do believe that this is the first one in Georgia... Very exciting, given how delicious the Foederbier was that I tasted at the Classic City Brew Fest Sunday.
Current brewery line up for Portland: Thursday: Hair of the Dog, The Commons, Cascade Friday: 10 Barrel, Rogue, Deschutes, Fat Head, Tugboat, Ex Novo Saturday: Ecliptic, StormBreaker, Breakside, Great Notions Sunday: Burnside Anything really important I'm missing?
