Did not know what to expect but was impressed Beer from Tampa and fine stemware all the way from Athens, Ga
Had last year's Westbrook Mexican Cake. I thought it was ok, not necessarily my jam but I could respect why people love it. Lots of different flavors that pair pretty well together.
Any of you guys use the Untapped app? I'd love to follow some of y'all and see what you're drinking and how you rate it.
Haven't posted in this thread in about 2 years, but just wanted to share this anecdote with someone: I just went to my cellar to grab a beer to drink with dinner and noticed that a 2014 Goose Island Proprietor's was missing. I spent a minute or two looking for it and asked my girlfriend if she had seen it anywhere. She told me I drank it Saturday night when I was drunk. I don't even remember doing it. So let this be a lesson to you--don't drink and drink.
Beachwood is a party right now! Look at this list! Plus a bunch of their top tier stuff available for growler fills.
I do not think much of Rogue but holy shit their Cold Brew IPA was fucking phenomenal when I had it at PDX a few weeks ago. Picked up a sixer of Stone Mocha IPA tonight. I think I have a thing for coffee IPAs now.
(Bloomberg) -- Anheuser-Busch InBev NV won U.S. antitrust approval for its takeover of SABMiller Plc, after the maker of Budweiser agreed to give up ownership of the Miller brand and open the door to greater competition from craft beers. AB-InBev will sell SABMiller’s stake in MillerCoors LLC and refrain from practices that restrict distribution of smaller, competing brands, according to a court filing Wednesday in Washington.
Wait you were there? I was rocking a Casa shirt. that we could have met up. You can see my head in that video
ahh no way! My wife and I were in LA to do some shopping and she wanted a tattoo by an artist in Gardena. I didn't even realize Beachwood was having that bash until like an hr before we got there!
Corky Bucek you should come down to SD for this tho.. Full list of breweries and most of the beers being served: http://moderntimesbeer.com/events/the-festival-of-dankness
I saw that and it looks awesome. The two weekends before that I'll be out of town, but I'd love to try and make it.
MODEVIL I've seen Beachwood on tap at two places in LB that have never had it. Looks like the new brewery in HB is pumping out beers. I'm sure some will be making it your way. Currently drinking Amalgamator
it only makes sense that California beers are sideways. kinda halfway to Australia where they would be upside-down
Had this happen a few years ago after the kuhnhenn soltice party. Came home and opened an upland sour, it gushed because I wasn't thinking, and 85% of it ended up on the floor.
Hello weekend. First time having this. Damn tasty. Will buy a full six pack if I can find it. Did a mix and match 6 pack and this is beer #1 out of the gate. Going to be a good night
Stumbled into a few 4 packs of Bissell Brothers Nothing Gold today, really nice. Missed out on the Substance though.
Back down this week and next. Will I find tropicalia anywhere in the area? Should be able to hit the porter next week, not sure I'll have any time this week.
It was present and you can certainly notice it, but didn't take over the taste. Reminded me quite a bit of Avery's Lilikoi Kepolo, but with a nice bitterness to balance some of the sweetness.
I located a place that sold me a growler of tropicalia, so now I will bring that growler to Georgia every time I come down here. So that's cool.
Picked up a lot of beer today - Trillium (5) / Kent Falls / Grimm / Night Shift - Newport Jazzfest on Saturday and a week away on Cape Cod..
