This Dark Lord Day sounds pretty awesome. On a side not has anyone ever been to The Great American Beer Festival? I am thinking about trying to go this year. Not sure how hard tickets are to come by or where to get them at though.
Im sure the wife would have no problem with me going to Indiana and pounding some of the finest brew in North America with my fellow online beer brahs
You fuckers have me confused with someone whose wife didn't JUST say "Please stop spending so much on beer". Spoiler she didn't really say "please"
"But HONEEEEY my e-bros need nugget nectar!"- Fargin' Icehole "We'll maybe your e-bros will have sex with you because I'm sure not" - mrs Icehole - Zack Zedalis
I'd send you all of my hopslam if you would have given me your NC tickets, but you didn't. So fuck you, dick.
I'm planning on going. I guess that there is a hotel nearby and they reserve a conference room for a massive bottle share the night before. Everyone that went said it was more fun than the actual Dark Lord Day.
California people - anyone going to the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest in June? Pretty epic lineup... http://www.firestonebeer.com/mingle/fw-invitational-beer-fest.php Per someone on BA: Kern river Moonlight brewing company Fifty fifty Stone Tap's fish house and brewery Bell's The Bruery Beachwood New Belgium Alesmith Three Floyd's Sierra Russian River Mikkeller Odell Lost Abbey Ballast Point Boneyard Faction Trumer Golden Road Yo Ho Dogfish Alpine Braufactum Figueroa Mountain Brewing Rahr and Sons Southern Tier Boulevard Bear Republic Founders Nebraska Sun King Revolution Cigar City Green Flash Lagunitas Funkwerks and of course, Firestone Walker
Great event, all of the brewers/owners are pouring beer there rather than sales reps and chicks who know nothing about the beers.
It would be a possibility for me. I may be in Florida on vacation that weekend though. But if not.......it could be fun.
Just booked it - really stoked to see Bells & Founders in CA, along with so many other epic brah breweries.
Fargin' Icehole Your package has been delivered. I really hope that I did a good enough job packing so that they all made it ok.
Just read this article http://www.sanluisobispo.com/2013/01/28/2372959/firestone-walker-beer-fest-tickets.html FFFFFFFUuUuUuU I wanna go... need to figure this one out.
Yeah, I was on the fence just b/c it was so far out. But once I saw that brewery list I decided I'd just figure it out later haha.
Trying to see how much Hopslam I'm gonna end up with but I'm open to trading some away to some nogs who cant get some. Also working the wife trying to make Hunahpu Day happen
It's in the Hampton Inn. Got some Cate the Great year before last. And remarkably saw a Growler from my local beer store in the hands of a guy that lives 1000+ miles away.
Stashed a couple Bigfoots in a small cooler. Heading out to hike for the weekend. First night is at the trailhead out of the truck so beer is a plus. #can't wait
that i want it also, tampa tmb'ers, the clearwater total wine i went to had like 10 cases of hopslam left and just hanging around, two 6-pack limit got 2 more
Feels great to see that they all made it ok. I hope you enjoy the 3 extra texas brews I threw in there. The Hellfighter has been getting great reviews and the one I had last night was quite good, although you might want to let it mellow for a bit.
