Yes, I'm quoting my own post... very impressed with this one. It's very well balanced imo. This was Omaha's first bottled beer, and it has me very excited about future offerings. ***Florida posters hate shield***
Guys I have some bad news. I have decided to give up beer again. I'm going to just finish off everything I have over this next week.
had Southern Brewing Co beer yesterday at the Classic City Brewfest. their Belgian ale with yeast harvested from wild azaleas (and one from a cherokee rose) was my favorite. had a nice fruity quality. the cherokee rose yeast was more peppery and saison-like. both used the same base beer. best of the day was Creature Comforts Curious No. 5 which was a sour made fermented with a yeast they harvested in their parking lot. somehow, Dark Horse, Deschutes, Black Diamond, and Firestone Walker all had beer at the fest--even though none of those are distributed in Georgia. Wrecking Bar's Mexican Siberius Maximus Imperial Stout was out-fucking-standing. One of the best imperial stouts I have ever tasted.
Is it okay if we don't know who our trustee is yet? Has TMB nominated someone to be our bitch helper?
I assumed so but was just curious. Its a style that has really grown on me. I also left out an important word in that question.
Lots of saisons and "lambic" styles. But also berliner styles and standard flanders red/brown sours and golden sours. Will do hoppy saisons early and some seasonal dark beers.
I really liked some of the hoppy saisons I have had recently. Brett Loves Citra that Casey did was really good. Really juicy saison.
Yeah we kind of formatted the membership this way on purpose so people could split. 5 bottles each and a glass each, and we will sell additional membership shirts to members...
