Stuff like this is happening all over the world. Imagine if something like this happened here in the states. Buckner comes to mind immediately. I am surprised that some crazy Red Sox fan did not kill him after that play.
Thanks for telling me about this. I honestly had never heard about it before today. It's pretty insane someone would actually follow through with killing a player because of that. I am honestly more surprised more refs don't get killed by crazy fans all around the world though, since it's easier to blame them then your own players. I liked this one and the one about Ricky Williams about the same. I've honestly enjoyed most of them, first time in a long while ESPN has put on something I didn't find to be pure trash.
One of the best things, Ive seen in a long time. Just as good the second time. I just had a friend die and a perfect quote came from that last scene. "When someone is taken from you, the natural response is anger. But that kind of rage, only creates more suffering. No matter how difficult, we must stand back up. We have two options, either allow anger to paralyze us, or we overcome and try our best to help others. It's our choice. We'll see each other soon, because life doesnt end here."
this. went into it thinking it was going to be good, but it was so much better than i expected. probably one of the best things ive ever seen ESPN put on tv.
Was looking for a feed for another soccer match and came across one for Santa Fe/Independiente Medellin. Stadium is almost completely empty. very sad to see.
watched this the first time last night. ****very important side note it is available on ESPN on Demand for Comcast under top picks*** It was amazing. best I have seen. Loved the fact that they got all the players to talk. So many of those players were beasts and part of my childhood. El Tren, Tino, El Loco Higuita, Alvarez, El Pibe, etc. That Colombian team was amazing and the best thing about it is that I got to see all of them play live twice in Copa America in Chile. Thinking back I saw a game between Colombia and Bolivia that looked like was attended by only cartel members I was scared shitless. What if Escobar was there?? Anyway the documentary itself was awesome.
