The reason to not stab through the gate is you don't want the zombies to bunch there and knock the wall down. Doesn't mean you can't come up with a way to thin the heard out a bit.
I have said it over and over, stab those bastards day and night in shifts. Zero shits given at the pile of walker bodies. Burn them at the gate after stabbing.
About this... did anyone wonder how the zombies got into the sewer, passed the locked gate that maggie and aaron stopped at???? Mother fucking fuck at these dumb ass writers.
Well, if the people had taken those tractors with the digging and rototill attached they'd have basically a tank to just run over all those things. Barricade them up, add some rear with sharp edges attached to slice bodies in half....shit....
Secondly, if these people were smart they would have created a secondary wall inside the town, and hell, a smaller wall outside the existing one. Defend the primary wall, but if there is a breach there's a rally point you know you can regroup too and come up with a plan. Also, they should have created a drop-down door that acts as a defense for the gate. It's on a pully system. Say they let a few zombies in, then drop the door and it runs flush to the gate, killing anything under it as it falls. Then you murk the few that get in. Do that all day. Basically they need to fall back on midevil times. The gate needs to have a primary access point outside to open and close it, but there should be a walled up and protected secondary way you can push close and pull open the gate on the side. They need to create choke points for all the ways in. Sonia they do get overrun they can defend it with small numbers.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan for Negan... that's pretty big. He was a guy a lot of people were hoping they would at least try to get and they got him.
Well, it seems like they have definitely correctly cast Negan. Let's just hope the JDM shows the writers a thing or two about how to not fuck up a story line.
Well, with the JDM casting, consider me excited about this show for the first time since Season 2. I'm sure it wil let me down, but he's a pretty perfect Negan.
Checked out his IMDB. Other than Watchmen, I see a bunch of shit I'd never watch. Are you guys just sold on him based on Watchmen?
I bet Glenn is alive (not that he should be, but this is AMC) and in the last episode, it shows him returning to the gate. Maggie and him lock eyes and we feel like all is well, right when Negan steps in from nowhere and bashes his skull in with Lucille, right in front of everyone.
I don't know if people care about spoilers for this show but continually mentioning what Negan does is a pretty big one for people who don't know.
I'm still working off the assumption that said new character, Negan, is welcomed into the group and teaches Carol a few neat tricks on how to keep a bundt cake moist using limited supplies.
I generally don't freak out about spoilers, but it would be nice if the book folks would have those type discussions or predictions. If you're just watching the show like I am, I now know what to expect from a character who hasn't been introduced yet that would be a major plot point, which is a minor bummer.
Apologies; however, AMC hasn't done a good job in keeping up with the plot points of the comics. Whatever "spoilers" you may have read, there's a 50 / 50 chance it doesn't happen.
No worries. If I was that concerned about it, I shouldn't post in a thread about the show. It's all good.
Looked like blood seeping through. Some speculating it could have been Spence's blood (the leader lady's son) or maybe the wall was fracturing a bit (that was the spot where the truck hit).
It's been pretty downhill since the Glenn episode. Mid season finale coming up soon right? Maybe something will happen.
One of my favorite Negan moments from the comics Spoiler and this one Tis a shame this show isn't on HBO/Cinemax/Showtime
Abraham's appeal in the comics was his creatively foul mouth. Sasha didn't exist in the comics. Having them go into these philosophical monologues last night that didn't even make sense was atrocious. The Daryl stuff was OK but it was still just filler. I'm glad even The Walking Dead subreddit is able to see how awfully written stuff like the Sasha/Abraham stuff was and we end up with this...
Sasha sucked. The goal really should be to iradicate all zombies so eventually life can move on. I don't get ignoring zombies when you can easily take them out and ensure they don't come back and bite one of your friends later, which we have seen happen numerous times in this show.
I think it may be a little foreshadowing with the fuel truck mixed with Abraham's newly discovered RPG's
About last night Spoiler What are we to believe happened to the two people who stole Daryle's bike? Were they "good guys" who just did a shitty thing to survive, or were they playing him the entire time?
From what I've read elsewhere Spoiler The dude is Dwight. Who is with Negan's group. Don't know if you've read the comics, so don't want to spoil it any further...
