The fact that this was how this episode was going to end leaked out over a week in advance of its airing and it was met with nothing but negativity. They knew that and formed their post-episode responses in advance. Unfortunately for them, it was still their brains coming up with these statements so they make no sense. "This is the end of this story. Blah blah blah." You can't cut something in the middle of a scene and call it the end of that story then promise to finish that scene but start a new story at the beginning of the next season. What they're claiming is that this story's end was the complete destruction of Rick's control/confidence. It's not about the death. Okay, then cut the episode as the whistling reaches its crescendo and Rick and his people are completely surrounded and don't even go near someone being chosen and killed. But they couldn't do that because they built up Negan's intro and "the price will be paid" and all that other stuff. They forced themselves to go further than they were actually willing to and when they didn't follow through they failed. They managed to go both too far and not far enough at the same time which is really quite an achievement. It's one based on incompetence but it's an achievement nonetheless.
http://www.outerplaces.com/science-...-will-show-that-last-scene-for-real-this-time You're gonna get to see it.
This probably won't wind up mattering, but if the timing of Negan's words matches his movements at the very end of his picking someone, his shadow crosses the left side of Rick's face. The next shot is him looking into the camera. If that logic holds up, he'd be down to Sasha, Aaron, or Eugene. There's also this shot of a mold of Aaron with his head cracked. No idea how old is. I realize these things most likely won't matter. http://m.imgur.com/vDzrUfR On mobile and couldn't get it to link right with image.
lol, just watched the finale. They drew the beating out so long both the wife and I lost interest in who it would be. The show isn't important enough in my life for me to get mad about something like that but because I hate stupid people who think they're smart I do wish there was someone in the writers' room making fun of those retards when they thought they came up with a really great cliffhanger.
Abraham told my friend at walker con today that he died. Can't believe he would really just tell people though.
He also said beth was charging $60 for just an autograph or $60 for a picture with her with no autograph. Like "bitch you haven't even been on the show in like two seasons". Robert Englund was charging $80 for an autograph.
She has a musical career, seems silly to be charging for photos and autographs that I'm sure he gives out free at concerts. Also, I'd pay twice as much to have sexual relations with her.
does anybody follow fear the walking dead? i want to like it but chris (the younger brother) may be the worst character of any show ever made
So Kirkman (TWD's creator) did an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit yesterday that was intended to promote some new show he has coming out on Cinemax. He did as well as you could expect considering a ton of people on that site bombarded the AMA with questions about TWD's finale. Something interesting did happen though. In a post where a guy ripped into the finale for how terrible its ending was he never asked a question about it. He followed up with a joke question "What's your favorite ice cream flavor?" Kirkman responded to the criticism initially then realized he had missed the actual question about ice cream at the end and said his favorite flavor is "Negan kills Carl." I'm somewhat inclined to believe that he actually gave away who Negan kills there. People have ruled Carl out for various reasons since the finale aired. Some related to the comic (would be spoilery to go into) and then some due to Negan's dialogue in the show. Before he takes Lucille to someone's head he says "If anyone moves cut the boy's other eye out and feed it to his father and then we'll start." I'd say the majority of people ruled Carl out based on that thinking he's talking about characters other than the one he's about to kill. But there's no reason they couldn't scoop Carl's other eye out, feed it to Rick and then bash Carl's head to a pulp. Now, the larger reason I think he may have actually given it away there? He's done this before. On some Comedy Central show a couple years ago he and some other TWD cast members were doing a "fake spoiler" thing. They went around the 3 of them (I know one was Maggie, not sure who the other one was) and they'd each give these off the wall, fake spoilers. At one point Kirkman gives away an actual spoiler from the comic and plays it off as if it were fake. Maggie's initial reaction is this face that just says OMG I can't believe he just did that then they all go into fake laughter about it. Anyway, it would actually kinda make sense to kill Carl. It would be absolutely brutal for a father to have to watch his son being beaten to death in front of him and could nearly make up for them doing the cliffhanger the way they did. Also, some of the stuff Carl does during the Negan arc doesn't work as well with a kid who is coming up on 18 years old (granted he looks younger - in the comic he's like 10 or so when Negan comes around). Then maybe the actor who plays Carl just wants to move on now. Might want to take a little time off from acting to go to college or something. TL;DR - TWD's creator did an interview thingy on Reddit yesterday and in response to a joke question he may have actually given away who Negan kills because he's done something similar in the past.
I've read up thru meeting Jesus but just prior to getting to the Hilltop. It's really starting to make some of the bitching in this thread pretty funny. There are some boring as fuck parts in the comic and other parts that just don't translate in an exciting way to television imo. So far at least, I think they've done a great job of translating it to a different medium while also changing it up enough to give readers a new experience.
Spoilers with regards to the cliffhanger... Spoiler Not 100% confirmed for various reasons (lots of filming inside studio as opposed to outside, lookalikes on set, AMC threatening a lawsuit to the main spoiler site, etc.) but it seems pretty certain that Negan will be killing 2. Glenn and Abraham. Supposedly Glenn gets the bat as he does in the comic then Abe either lashes out and gets killed or Negan just decides another should die because of how many Saviors Rick and his group have already killed. Meh.
Spoiler its weird that they spared abraham from his normal death just to kill him off a couple episodes later, but what do i know
Spoiler Yeah, Kirkman had said he didn't like how he killed off Abraham before All Out War so they give Denise his death and now it seems like they're overcompensating for the bad finale by killing another character off who is already dead in the comic.
They cast her wrong from the get go. If there's one criticism TWD fanboys have of how Darabont did things that I agree with it's that.
I believe so. And they cast a 40-year-old to play her at the start of the show because she was in The Mist which Darabont had just done. As was Thomas Jane who he wanted to play Rick.
October. Should have a trailer from Comic Con later this week. Will be interesting to see what they show since they can't show too much or it'll give away their stupid cliffhanger.
They supposedly filmed every character getting Lucilled in an effort to guard their little cliffhanger. I don't know anyone who owns TWD on bluray, but I would guess that footage will be on there when it is released.
Spoiler sites were fairly certain that was a lie to try and cover for the info they were starting to leak. The spoiler sites figure they may have filmed 3-4 of them but definitely not all. They filmed the scene(s) in a studio so it's not like anything was out in the open for people to see.
Just scroll up the page a bit... http://the-mainboard.com/index.php?...e-pee-pants-city.120500/page-20#post-10620144 That's pretty much confirmed but not 100% because AMC threatened lawsuits (that they'd never win but would be too expensive for the spoiler site) if they even guessed correctly who it was. So people have had to draw their own conclusions based on various information but that's pretty much it.
I really want to see Negan's reign, the Kingdom, etc., etc. but I'm still very annoyed by the finale. I mean, they had to basically spoil the Kingdom, Ezekiel and his tiger in the trailer because they couldn't show stuff with the people from the lineup.
The show and the comic are not the same thing. While you don't like what they did with Andrea, they changed Carol and made her awesome. Not to mention Daryl, blah blah...
Anyone that knows the comic knows that the Kingdom was coming this season. I'm still mad about the finale but I believe this season is going to be really good.
