Probably in September to see a bit of action. It's setting up perfectly, he'll be able to take his time this year and continue to develop at SS and 3B (where he plays once a week) and then be ready to roll next spring as the guy.
bro Dodger Insider @DodgerInsider 5m5 minutes ago Dodger bullpen has now thrown 26 consecutive scoreless innings.
was gonna post today, but wanted to wait on the win, how they have totally turned it around from their early season struggles (not that the struggles were gigantic anyway). I was just dreading the thought of our bullpen struggling again in the postseason. Even though Howell still drives me crazy, I am pretty sold. And we get League/Jansen back?
Liberatore and Paco seem to be the go-to LHP's out of the pen for now. Don't think you'll see Howell in many situations with the game on the line (extra inning games like today excluded).
this team definitely feels different. Seem more inclined to come up with the big hit... which is what we have missed in the postseason. Kershaw should get off the snide tomorrow in Milwaukee
Chris Towers @CTowersCBS · 46m46 minutes ago Joc Pederson in seven games as a leadoff hitter: .222/.344/.889 with a 0.000 BABIP. That's my favorite stat in sports right now.
I don't have Time Warner and haven't had the time to pirate broadcasts of the game so I haven't been able to see Kershaw pitch. Is there something fundamentally wrong with him? Is he hurt, bad luck? Numbers through a few starts are pretty pedestrian for him
BABIP'd yesterday, but overall his command has been a bit off. He's still missing a ton of bats and the stuff looks good. I'm not overly concerned.
Pretty good link for mlb. As always, recommend using chrome with adblock to run it. http://www.drakulastream.eu/baseball-live-streaming-video.html
his xFIP is 2.18 and his SIERA is 2.43. His BABIP is currently 83 points higher than his career avg, and his HR rate is at 20% when his career mark is 7 basically. He's not completely blameless by any means, but every single metric points to him bouncing back. I'd be a lot more worried if he wasn't striking people out or if his BB% was a lot higher than usual.
Agree. The BAPIP stuff is true but also seems to be the sole rationale of the blog community and it's clear he's having major issues locating all his secondary stuff. He has like three inning periods where he does but he's yet to do for an entire start etc
It seems like the slider isn't quite there yet this year and the fastball has been missing lot of spots. Makes sense for the higher home run rate. Either way, 21-10 with no Puig, Jansen, or Ryu plus an "off" Kershaw is pretty sweet.
I believe that's 51 on the year now. That's more than a third of the way to last year's total already
This guy is missing spots up and all over the plate. Should be able to build a nice cushion in the next couple of innings.
