I'm actually supremely confident in Hatcher this inning as he's so due for an outing where he doesn't suck. Also, I'd like to put AJ Ellis in a cannon and shoot him into space where he's never seen from again.
I'd be ok with him just moving into the broadcast studio. By all accounts, a great teammate but not a very good baseball player. I was laughing when Orel said he was looking better at the plate tonight.
Other than his relationship with Kershaw he doesn't bring anything to the table. Austin Barnes should be up and stay up his OPS in AAA is crazy right now. Ellis' pitch framing is so fucking unbelievably bad. It's astounding that he's the best we could do for such a long time. God damn you Russell Martin and your hip (and McCourt being cheap as hell).
Tonight's lineup Pederson CF Puig RF Gonzalez 1B Kendrick 2B Turner 3B Ethier LF Grandal C Guerrero DH Rollins SS
Steiner giving false hope to thousands of novice baseball viewers with his heart attack call on an obvious flyout.

sorry for the delay on this but Buehler is dealing on ESPN2 right now which made me remember this alert. I don't think it's accurate to say Fulmer is perceived to be better because of his intensity. He has nastier stuff and holds his velocity through 120 pitches like Verlander did in his prime. Fulmer is just on a different level as far as stuff. But we're talking about a guy that could be a dominant closer in the majors right now so it's kind of apples to oranges. Buehler has a considerably cleaner delivery and as you said has command of three pitches which is something Fulmer struggles with at times. He was flashing 97 on the ESPN radar gun tonight which is the best I've seen from him. He's always been 92-96 and will finish games in the 92-93 range. His fastball is straighter than you'd like but that doesn't really matter too much when you are able to locate it above 94 MPH and mix in a really good curveball. So on his bad days he'll leave a few fastballs up and give up a few long balls. He is a really good athlete who can field his position and probably has some room to grow as far as his frame is concerned. His mom is one of the best defense attorneys in the nation and he's a solid student so he's got a good makeup. We eased him into the mix this season because his elbow had some soreness last winter but he was never actually shut down and has shown no signs of that lingering Pfeifer was the Louisville Slugger National POY as a JR in HS. He has tons of innings on his arm as he pitched for Knoxville-area superpower Farragut HS. He holds the TN HS record for career wins with like 41 or something stupid like that. So his HS coach abused him BIG time. However, he's never had any arm issues during his time at VU. He's a guy who missed all of 2014 due to a suspension for a failed drug test. Since then he has entered and graduated from a rehab program and really turned his life around. He's a great story and a really easy guy to like. His fastball gets up to 94 but he's going to be 90-92 more often than not and he's very effective at that speed because he's got a nasty breaking pitch. I have a hard time differentiating between pitch types with Pfeifer because sometimes it's a slider and sometimes it looks more like a true hammer curve. Regardless, he misses bats with it. He has some funk in his windup and delivery that I'm sure a pro team will want to clean up. He's got the potential to be a starter in my opinion because he's a really really good athlete who competes his ass off. However, if he ends up in the pen then I bet he really flourishes there
wonder how long we make it before making a big move, whether it be a trade or bringing up some of the young guys
Dodger Insider @DodgerInsider 2m2 minutes ago Joc Pederson is the first Dodger of any age with at least 20 homers and 50 walks before the ASB since Gary Sheffield in 2000.
what the hell is this http://sports.yahoo.com/news/book--...s-teammates-no-longer-a-secret-212239227.html http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/fantasy-baseball-today/25230344/can-we-call-yasiel-puig-a-bust
This book is based off of the 2012-2014 years iirc, so many of the unnamed teammates may no longer be on the team. Like this coal-shoveler Article about Fantasy Baseball so zero fucks given.
Have already landed 2 of the top 5 international prospects in P Yadier Alvarez and OF Starling Heredia.
looking at the top 30 International prospects on MLB.com and seeing names like Vlad Guerrero Jr and Fernando Tatis Jr I'm officially old
Are you fucking kidding me? You cool with Kershaw getting his 4th loss in a row? This isn't a race for the Cy Young where ERA is the only thing that matters. I want Kershaw to rattle off 10 wins in a row because that means 10 wins for the Dodgers and with our staff weakened I want to get him rolling.
Well that game sucked. First time Kenley have given up a run in 3 straight starts. His cutter looked awful yesterday. Kersh wasn't himself. Which is a credit to how good he has been the last 5 years. Dodger Insider @DodgerInsider 11h11 hours ago His night is over: Clayton Kershaw has a 1.78 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 12.0 K/9 over past eight starts. I mean what more do you want from him?
I was just saying I hope Kershaw starts getting Ws for his good performances. Was not implying he wasn't doing enough. playing from behind early today
