not a fun two games. Let's hope Kershaw can get us to a game 7 and then we can just let it all hang out
the only thing I'd consider changing in the lineup for game 6 is Utley. He isn't great defensively and his bat has been ice cold.
I've been asking for this all series. I know the impulse than would be to have Howie leading off, but I am not sure about that. I hate having Joc/Yasmani right next to each other in the lineup since neither is a contact hitter.
@DodgerBlue1958: #Dodgers lineup for #NLCS Game 6: LF Toles SS Seager 3B Turner 1B Gonzalez RF Reddick CF Pederson C Grandal 2B Utley P Kershaw
absolute defensive liability but we need his bat. fucking sucks. That replay made it clear he took his eye off the ball thinking of getting the double play need to get these runs back quick and get the Cubs nerves going again
Had to know Kershaw couldn't bail the team out at some point :( 4-0 with, 1-5 without him. Bullpen let the Dodgers down as much as anything accounting for two of the losses in this series.
There's enough blame to go around, the offense has been pretty bad the whole postseason with RISP. Our starters not going deeper (outside of Kershaw and Hill) certainly doesn't help matters.
definitely a big enough sample size to make such a judgment. Nevermind an entire season of defensive metrics.
that's kinda how sports work. You watch someone enough times you begin to understand their skillset. weird
I played baseball my entire youth, until 17, and have been watching the dodgers since I was 5. I know nothing, obviously. Let's just move pin this argument for his next error where I come in screaming about this. I love Toles, my current g/f and her friends were good friends at UT. Hope he improves
What in the world is Joe Buck talking about Hendricks having good swings? Guy chased two FBs out of the zone with zero chance. I love how narratives can be built in a single play. Toles catches that and nails Bryant it's terrible base running. The fact that it's an error is the reason why it happened I generally just hate this sport. I hate all of you. I hate this team. I hate this world. I hate everything. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. You're cool.
This LITERALLY (and I actually mean literally not the way the youths tarnish the meaning these days) means nothing.
wish it wouldn't have ended on an absolute pitiful offensive performance, but they are better. get 'em next year
I guess the biggest disappointment is the lack of fight losing these three. Up 2-1 in the series, feeling great, and then these three outcomes happen. 10-2 8-4 5-0 That's gonna make for a long off season.
God. I know I should be happy with a NLCS trip and 90+ win. But, it seems like every year. It's just so close.
I figure they'll re-sign Turner, Hill, and Reddick I think Jansen takes the biggest payday that comes his way, and our FO aren't the type to be the high-bidder on FA relievers. Especially in terms of years. They need to make a decision on Puig this offseason. If you're gonna move on, move on and trade him. They really need to add another inning eating SP. Kershaw is no longer a stone cold lock to give you 220+ IP, Hill's blister is what it is, Urias shouldn't be expected to shoulder too big of an innings load, Kenta is Kenta. Then you have the paper mache duo of Kazmir and McCarthy. I'd feel a lot better about the rotation and our playoff odds if we can add a legit #2 via trade. Especially if it's a RHP.
cool Dodger Blue @DodgerBlue1958 1h1 hour ago Rich Hill said he 'absolutely' wants to re-sign with the #Dodgers.
I'd love him in left. Would be an interesting dynamic with Puig. Rather spend money on SP though, if somehow forced to choose.
the Carlos Ruiz era was short and sweet http://www.truebluela.com/2016/11/6...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
seems like today is d-day with Jansen. between Turner and Jansen, who is the beter asset to keep? Because most people we won't bring back both.
I don't have a good answer to that, but I'm going to be really sad if/when Jansen leaves. Besides the obvious talent and heart, the fact we helped him shape his career from average catcher to elite closer would make it that much harder to see him go.
Turner is the better asset to keep just going 1 v 1. Turner has been more valuable in 3 years as a Dodger than Jansen in 7. RP are replaceable, All-Star level 3B are not. I'd rather them let Jansen walk at that price and trade for Robertson. You'll get a 1st rounder for losing Jansen, so whoever you give up to get Robertson can get replaced by a blue-chipper in the draft.
