I have some friends that train at TPS and are obviously big fans. Hard to argue with anything Hatfield did

I know I've only posted in here like once, but any of you guys had hernia surgery? I'm going to need to get it done eventually and just wondering how long it took until you could start lifting again. Most places look like it's only a week or two
hello frans, can anyone point me to a good workout program that is popular/effective? Ideally it would be HIIT or something like that. thx
Indeed. I thought I was being soft by taking a week but been lifting heavy since the beginning of July, and now that I'm cutting; it's really caught up to me. Down 10 pounds in a month while increasing strength takes its toll.
Deload week deadlifts: Decided to fuck around with chains/bands this week just to try something new. Kept it pretty light 225 of bar weight and ~70lbs chain weight at the top. 9 triples then 5 singles in a semi-sumo stance. Didn't hate it. 5x5 Good morning and 4x10 Rubish rows to finish it off.
I've said it before, but I rarely do plain old flat bench press. Most of my pressing sessions are strictly overhead press variations because that's what I do in contests. I decided to do it last night for the hell of it to mix things up. Between sets, I got curious as to when I last did flat bench, so I took a look back at my training journal. March 27 was the last time I benched. 1 day shy of 7 months between bench press sessions.
I warmed up with it for a set of 12. I was planning on doing 5 x 5 with 225. It felt pretty easy, but after the third set, my elbow felt like it was either going to snap or dislocate, so I decided to save myself. My elbow has been giving me some real problems lately and I can't straighten my right arm.
Are you wanting actual powerlifting wraps or just something to keep your knees warm and give a little rebound?
The latter. Between playing soccer or squatting 4/5x a week I'm starting to get the tendinitis in them pretty bad and looking for something to help (besides being a pussy and resting). SBD ones seem to be exactly what I'm looking for but damn wasn't expecting them to be nearly 100$.
Only 30 pounds off the junior record for bench in the 66kg division in Florida. Definitely gonna take that shit next year. Excite to have an actual goal other than get laid 185x8 is what I do when I 2-second-pause bench. If anyone was wondering.

Tried and failed 315 1rm flat bench yesterday. Just didn't get out of the pocket. Ramping up dead bench to something over 225 this week on 2nd bench day to hopefully get it next week.

how much of a difference do you think creatine really makes? I've been taking Pre Kaged for like 2 months now and it has creatine in it. I have a container of GAT PMP and was thinking about using that-wondering if I'll notice any difference not having the creatine.
Creatine can cause you to have some hormonal mood swings. Downside is if you get off it, your lifts decrease on average 45% up to as much as 75%. Up to you.
Finally getting back into things after taking 2 months off for school. Lost so many gains, it's depressing. Also, I'm at a new gym where literally NOBODY puts away their weights. Yesterday someone left 315 on a bar after deadlifting and left. Today someone did the same with 405. It's infuriating.
Her boyfriend is a huge piece of shit that threatens to kill her if she leaves. At least that's what I tell myself to make myself feel better.
They must have had an emergency and had to leave in hurry. That's the only reason I can think of for leaving in the middle of their warm up.
Pulled 335 for 4 sets of 6 double overhand. Followed by 6 sets of 6 RDLs at 275 and 205 for 4 sets of 8 on bent rows. This week's training followed by staying up late watching the Cubs has me exhausted.
Don't think it's worth the trouble since it's so widespread. This gym is in the middle of a very bad neighborhood, the crowd is pretty rough looking and probably wouldn't take too kindly to a rich white kid telling them what to do.
I wish it was super easy to eat like a fatass but work out enough so that it doesn't matter. Instead, I have to sit here and be a responsible adult that can control what I'm shoveling into my face.
