did something I never thought I'd do joined a crossfit gym the coaches have credible certifications from something other than a bro with a kettlebell, I have friends that go, and I'm really enjoying the workouts. going slow and focusing on form and carefully blocking all cargo shorts from my amazon basket wish me luck
That was a damn smooth deadlift. When i did my set of 5 woth 315 the other day my face was beet red and a lot more struggle on mah face. Iron Mickey you are dead to us.
I'm not sure. They train some people. I see them kind if doing spot training. Like 1 time a week or something, then plan their workouts. So kind of coaching vs being with them every workout.
srs the olympic lifts are the most frustrating thing so far the first part of the workout today was taking 20min to build to a 3 rep max snatch every time: "much better with [problems from attempt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6] but watch out for [issue that was fine before I was focusing on 1-6]" not a single plate was added that day
Will be doing this in 2 months or so when I move across the country. Figure it'll be an easy way to meet people while mixing up my regimen :3
1st day back in the gym after 4 days off Still hungover/not feeling right Schedule calls for chest day Didn't go at 5am so will be during rush hour expecting this workout to be a pretty big nightmare altogether
alarm went off at 450 and I had diamond hard morning wood jammed up against girlfriend not a good spot when you realize you have to hop up and get ready for the gym :(
Lifted and did cardio all weekend. Did legs yesterday and waaayyy over did it and thought I was going to pass out on the way home. I get up at 330-4am so I can get around and stretch and get ready before the gym opens at 5. I like being done for the day when I get off work now. I was skipping too much because I'd talk myself out of it.
exactly what we did. showered, fucked, then made breakfast while she got ready for work. but man putting on those gym shorts at full mast and having to look at her in gym clothes while spandexing my dick down not for me
Today was cardio, which is usually just a 2 mile walk with the weighted vest. I thought I would try to do extended lunges and thought .25 mile wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong.
did a charity workout saturday. it was in partners so the shit was split however you wanted (e.g. I could do 100 pushups to her 74 or whatever)-- did it with girlfriend. 174 hand release pushups 133 4-count mountain climbers 30 meter farmer's walk 2004 foot wheel barrow walk 2006 foot walking lunges 59 burpees 2011 foot fireman carry 132 step ups 131 flutter kicks (ow, each of us had to do them all) then up and down these, twice, with her on my back for real my legs are still worthless. lunging non-stop for .4 miles before and after carrying a person? nah.
Everything went better than expected yesterday. Got 245x5 on bench could only get 265x5 on squat this morning. birdlegfeels
Between 8-10:30. Really just depends on how tired I am. Plus, I set my alarm for 3:30 but I hit snooze a few times but I'm up for sure at 4. I just get up an hour before to kind of get around and wake up more before I go to the gym. They open right at 5am so I'll just mainboard and stuff before I leave. It took about a week or so to get used to it but now sometimes I'll wake up before the alarm goes off and I'm not ever tired or groggy in the gym either. I do legs on the weekend though. I like to get up and eat and everything before I do legs so that's the only workout I don't do first thing in the morning.
I'm at work by 645 everyday and takes me around an hour to get there with traffic, so I would need to hit the gym by 415 at the latest. Don't know if I have it in me.
If mine opened at 4 I'd go then instead of at 5. I actually started out just waking up and doing cardio in the morning and lifting after work. That way I wasn't there for 2 hours during the after work rush. You might try that out first. I just started doing it all in the morning and coming into work at 8 instead of 7, but my job is flexible like that. Plus it was nice if I didn't feel like going to lift at least I got my cardio in
Sometimes I didn't feel like going to lift after work (tired, shits, just wanting to be lazy) so I'd just go home instead, but I still did 30-45 mins of cardio that day so the damage wasn't as bad. It was still bad and I phoned it in for far too long so I'm still playing catch up.
