It will increase the amount of water weight that you carry. I don't know if it will effect the bf reading or not.
Pride as in your friends/coworkers/whoever don't see you as a roided out juice monkey. Especially if you're not competing or playing an actual sport it looks a lot worse. JMO And I several good friends that have done multiple cycles both in college and afterwards. It's always pretty obvious and everyone talks shit about you, albeit not to your face probably because of food rage
It's no different than how someone does their hair or if they have tattoos or piercings though. I'm sitting here defending it and I've never even jumped the fence myself. I did an Anavar cycle like 4 years ago or something but that's not a test booster and even chicks take it. I'd do it again if it wasn't pills since my liver is probably shot to shit now. There's really no way you would have known though since it's basically the opposite effects of what people associate with roids.
Guess my phone thinks roids are food. Just gonna agree to disagree here as I think comparing steroids to styling your hair is kinda silly. I wouldn't consider Var to be a roid either though. No Test and no PCT. Moving on to keep the thread natty
My point is simply that it's illegal with zero gray area. It's an illegal drug in the same vein as heroin, cocaine, meth, etc. All it would take is any type of blood screening, even if it's only related to employer health insurance, for it to show. Like I said originally, whether or not it's enforced is a different issue altogether but it's still illegal and that's plenty enough reason to keep it relatively quiet. And just to be clear, I don't care about steroid use. If I wasn't concerned with cost or the long term effects, I'd be shooting tren every damn day. I'm just saying that it's illegal and drawing attention to it when it has quite obviously been a target in the government/media's eyes is downright retarded, imo, of course.
if using a bioelectric device, higher salinity would increase conductivity, thus lowering your body fat %. I think....
If they're using one of those things then the contest based on bf % is bullshit anyways. I'd imagine it's not a bod pod so a 3 point pinch test would be the only legit way to do it.
This guy next to me is literally squatting on his toes. His heels aren't even on the ground. I would say something if he wasn't bigger than me.
Recently saw a guy doing this. He had no business with 315 on his back, but still proceeded to grind out 1 rep completely on his toes.
My poverty bench is improving. Honestly, I prioritize my lower days, so anytime I miss a day, it's almost always upper. I have admittedly missed a few upper days on this cycle. I was happy today though to get 170 lbs 3x6 with a "1 one thousand" pause at the bottom. it was actually quite easy... I feel I left a good bit in the tank. I've been benching now for about 8-10 weeks after not benching since around 2004, so I'm happy with the progress so far, however slow it is.
Yeah for off day! Still gonna cardio though. I got 355 x 2 yesterday on squat and I've been on since Saturday so I'm gonna give it a break today.
Paralympic athlete benches 650 lbs with no leg drive and no lift off. Made that shit look easy too. https://www.facebook.com/IPCPowerlifting/videos/1166840320009220/
Very proud of this. Top picture is from June 22, 2014 at 220 and bottom picture is from last night at 252. Seems to be a very minimal increase in bodyfat.
Hey, does everyone remember when Fudd used to be just big and hairy and not look like that and just make us feel bad about our gainz and not our veinz too?
And another thing I am proud of... Had bloodwork done very recently...kidney function is perfect (BUN is 13, Creatinine is 1.06), cholesterol is nearly perfect outside of slightly low DHL (LDL is 98, HDL is 34, Triglycerides are very low at 89), blood pressure routinely in in the 120s/70s, hematocrit, WBC count, RBC count all within normal ranges.
So when I squat, I have a hell of a time getting parallel (even with the bar), or lower, before my hip/groin area has a sharp stinging pain to it. It's not the weight because even with just the bar the same thing happens. I was unfortunately one of those guys who didn't squat for a while so I'm definitely still working on my form, but the sharp pain hasn't gotten any better the more I squat. I remember a video for pre-leg day stretching but haven't been able to find it again. Anyone still have that laying around? I do some foam rolling for my hip flexors, but haven't seen much change. Finally back up to my weight that I was before I got pretty sick and lost 15lbs earlier this year, so that's cool. Added muscle and lost fat Still pushin bitch weight though
Woke up this morning, got out of bed, got back in bed, then told myself to stop being a pussy. MAN am I glad I did. 2 huge PRs for me today on deadlift. If you guys remember, about 8 weeks ago I failed on 300 lbs. I was beyond fatigued from doing 16+ weeks of linear programming. Candito's 6-week program is infinitely better for me in managing fatigue. Today called for 320 lbs for 1-4 reps (to determine next cycle's max). I decided to do these conventional because sumo has been aggravating my hips a bit. Being that I have NEVER lifted over 300 lbs in anything ever in my life, I decided to do 315 lbs instead. My warm-ups felt great. 315 felt so awesome. I got the the 4th rep, and decided I wanted more... got to the 5th rep, decided that would be my final rep and held it at the top. Then I changed my mind and took 1 more rep. So 315 for 6... nice PR for me. But I didn't want to stop there. Decided to load up 335 because 315 felt so good. I got 335 lbs for 3 and again, I felt like I could have taken more. I'm so pumped guys. This is the most excited I've been ever in my training. FYI, for me personally, conventional deadlifting in my Adipowers has been a Godsend - my leg drive is tremendously improved. Today's session has convinced me to stick with conventional. I'll still train sumo on occasion maybe as an accessory, but conventional it is from now on on my main lift. I'm also excited that I'm able to do these double overhand (with hook) without straps without issue. Grip strength continues to improve. Cheers, gents.
Solid work man. Looked like you still had some left in the take on both videos. I much prefer pulling in my romaleos. For some reason it puts me in a much more comfortable position.
Have you tried squatting to a box that is parallel or just a touch higher? If that alleviates the pain, I'd stick with that for a little while you work on mobility, flexibility and things of that nature. Not everyone is going to be able to squat below parallel. There are issues with the ball and socket joint of the hip and if certain structures are in the way, you're on the fast track to femoral acetabular impingement (FAI). It's no bueno. I'm one of those people. I can squat below parallel very comfortably BUT I also have mild FAI and get pretty serious pain in random spurts throughout the year.
Those deadlifts moved really well. Didn't see much in the way of form breakdown either. Lumbar spine held up, upper back didn't look like it was rounding, hips seemed to be in the perfect position because they didn't rise without the bar. All in all, well fucking done. Fatigue management is a huuuuuge deal. One of my favorite quotes for sports performance is, "Fatigue masks fitness" and this is a pretty good example of it. Congrats.
If I'm being honest, I'm not nearly as lean as I was in the first picture, it just looks that way. IIRC I was probably around 9% in the first picture and probably closer to 11-12% currently. I was shooting myself in the foot for a long time because I was in a deficit for probably 80% of a year and a half span and as a result, I wasn't making any muscle gains. I've learned to enjoy not being super lean. You look way bigger/better in clothes, you're stronger and generally just perform better in all aspects of life. Nobody besides my girlfriend sees me with my shirt off anyway and she prefers me to have some more fat. The only downside is that I can't be a like-whore on Instagram and post pictures of my obliques. And I've hit the point where I can literally eat ANYTHING I want to in any quantity and not gain an ounce. I haven't tracked a macro or calorie in months and it feels so liberating.
It's around 4,500. When I was at my leanest, I was able to eat 6k calories of 100% clean foods and go to bed absolutely ravenous. brolift probably remembers how starving and miserable I was. Now, if I listened to my body and didn't force-feed, I would be full on a couple big bowls of cereal and a couple protein shakes. The hormonal fluctuations (leptin & ghrelin) while dieting are insane and very intriguing.
I used to have a couple days where I'd run sprints; I enjoyed those but my schedule has changed a little and it doesn't work as well. I also have a couple days where I do just do 30-40 minutes of mobility stuff
