Love that place. Just ate there so much that I had to back off. Hungry? Here's a bag of everything stuffed full. I will likely fight someone.
I can never finish half of it and I always feel shitty afterwards, but I've always enjoyed the food from a purely taste standpoint.
Bro is a young college student who still thinks liberal ideals and shitty food are things that are cool to be in favor of
I'll just add this. White Castle, which is the northern version of Krystal, has god tier breakfast. Sausage egg and jalapeño cheese on toast. Same as what you'd make at home. Good hash browns (like cfa) and excellent coffee. Any other time of the day, the place serve pure garbage
I don't know. In our GOAT Team Thread you have expressed admiration for Cookout. I appreciate the comination of late hours and drunk food Cookout provides, but I certainly don't find it any worse than any of the "better" burger chains mentioned. Far from it.
Cookout isn't good. they make a fine milkshake, which is what I was wanting, but their food is pretty meh and shit-inducing.
I don't think chatch would ever give Vancouver any sort of nod Kind of surprised he isn't trying to toot Dick's horn. Or blowing dicks.
I moved from Ohio to California for three years while I was in junior/high school. I think the fact the quality of the meat in the West Coast vs. TX/Midwest probably plays a role in judgment. No one who has experienced meat in the West Coast could honestly say it isn't a lower quality than traditional cattle areas. Perhaps their popular burger joins import their meat. I don't know. I haven't done the research. Edit: To clarify, I thought In N Out was pretty good, and I have never had Whataburger. My only point is the quality of meat declines when you move farther toward the West Coast.
No. I go back quite often. If anyone has made the transition to the West Coast from the Midwest similar to myself, then I am fairly positive they can tell the difference in taste of the meat when the two are compared. If this is a serious issue for you, I'd be more than happy to pay for your cost of sending me meat with both locations with a bet to challenge if I cannot tell the difference.
I am more than happy to include you in the post I made challenging my ability to taste the difference between TX/Midwest meat vs. CA. You can both name your stakes. Edit: Quantity has has never, ever also meant quality.
something about this tangent in the context of a thread on fast food burgers is pretty funny to me i'm not doing any beef challenges, so i guess you win
I didn't intend for it to tangent either. I just don't think anyone who has had a steak of any cut in CA thinks it compares to one in TX or the Midwest. The meat there that isn't brought in from other states lacks a lot of flavor.
I only get my meat from Northeast Nebraska. You can really tell the from the grass they feed on why the beef is that much better than anywhere else in the country.
Going to get a honey butter chicken biscuit and jalapeño cheddar biscuit soon Somewhat because cfa isn't but whata is a very good second choice
I wish Shake Shack had been started in North Dakota so we'd never have to hear people speak about it as if their food is amazing. The shakes and concretes are quite good, but the food is middle of the road at best for fast casual.
White Castle, much like me and Name P. Redacted, is originally from Wichita, KS, but got the fuck out as soon as possible and never returns
I don't know about all these strange places that have been mentioned but Culver's has a fantastic burger B1G B1G
Compared to the other fried chicken spots it's way better. I agree that the dinner sides suck but I usually go bo rounds or fries
