Yeah it was a bit of a weird one. The N'koudou introduction/Son move to striker changed everything though. I wouldn't be opposed to giving it a whirl vs. City at the weekend. N'Koudou is blazing quick, and looked very assured out there on both ends tonight. Looks like another top lad in the making,
Such a big 3 points. N'koudou showed he deserves to make the bench more often. Son continuing to show what a boss he is. Hopefully at least 1 or 2 of the injured guys can come back this weekend.
Hell with all the injuries he might deserve to make the starting 11. A player with his pace should always be on our bench, he brings something most of our other wing players do not. I don't want to kill his confidence right off the bat but I think I would start Son up top instead of Janssen against City. His pace will give their center backs issues. Janssen has done some things well, so I don't want to overreact, but when it comes to finding the net he just looks lost at the moment.
We are really deep with very good players. Now we need some of those very good players to step up and regularly be great. That hasn't been the case this season so far, but Son has been approaching great and Alderweireld probably deserves a shit ton of credit also. This is the deepest team we have had since I have been a fan.
Without a doubt. We are being hit left and right with niggles and injuries, yet the team just keeps chugging along. Aside from Son nobody has really hit top form among our attackers. Yet we are unbeaten in the league and 2nd in the table. That is very encouraging.
