http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/draws/round=2000783/index.html Live draw. Kind of jumpy but whatever, let's see how this goes.
lol @ Danny explaining his reaction to the nutmeg “I thought ‘Erik, why did you do that?’ It was brilliant to watch. I just wish it was against another player and not Andros,” Rose said. “I didn’t realize I put my hands on my head until afterwards. It was a brilliant nutmeg. When Andros was here, he always used to get nutmegged five or six times in a training session. I was actually thinking throughout the game that he’s done well not to get nutmegged today and Erik did that. It was brilliant. So, sorry Andros...”
Good point from r/coys, Monaco as our 4th team is good in that they can take points off of Bayer or CSKA, there isn't any 100% for sure 3 points anywhere in the group.
I like our chances vs. all of the other sides. We avoided all of the giants in the group stage, if we play up to our capability there is a decent shot at taking 1st. That said, no match will be a complete cakewalk so if we don't bring it then we will be going home (or back to Europa).
We got Gillingham in the EFL Cup, hopefully Marcus Edwards and a few others can get their senior debut. He just scored a brace for our U21's.
Supposedly Pau Lopez is going to be having a medical done on Saturday ahead of a loan to buy move for us. 21 year old GK from Espanyol.
The Mangala and Zaha links today were absolutely horrifying and bizarre. Why would we consider either of those two clowns?
I guess im in the minority on Zaha. I would prefer him to N'koudou. At least you know what you are getting in Zaha. He gives you pace and forces the defense to take note of him. Sure, his goal/assist numbers are shit, but if we are going to be playing Janssen and Kane together, I dont think he would be asked to score. But right now, we have a bunch of central guys, and very few wide guys. Plus he isnt going to start... Ill take his speed to run at guys late in the game.
Zaha on the wing with Kane to cross to is kinda terrifying. Not sure what your problem with him is. Would be a really great signing imo.
We need to break our bad spell vs. Liverpool this morning. They have a couple key injuries, we should create a fair amount of chances vs. their suspect defense. We just need to be wary of Mane and their pace on the counter.
Today's news. Harry wants to stay foreva. http://www.footballfancast.com/prem...r-man-delivers-amazing-news-to-tottenham-fans Spoiler “I’d love to stay here. The club is in great shape at the moment, and we’re going forward as a club, and that’s important,” he told Sky Sports. “As long as there’s a vision with the club, and we’re not stale, we’re going forward as a club. At the moment, we’re an excited group of young players with a great manager, great training ground and a new stadium coming too. “I’d love to stay here for the rest of my career. We’ll just have to see what happens.” N'Koudou is training with us http://www.skysports.com/football/n...g-with-tottenham-ahead-of-move-from-marseille We are close to agreeing a fee with Hull City for the transfer of Ryan Mason. http://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnatio...pur-transfer-news-rumors-ryan-mason-hull-city Mauricio emphasizes the importance of developing our own first team players from the academy. http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....urs-identity/story-29657704-detail/story.html
My preferred starting XI. Eriksen has been poor, let him come in as impact sub if needed in the 2nd half. -----------------------Vorm---------------------- Walker-----------Toby-------Jan----------Danny -------------Dier-------------Wanyama--------- ----Lamela---------------------------Alli------- -------------------Kane------------------------- ---------------------------Janssen--------------
I suspect we may go back to 1 striker for this match for some reason, and have Eriksen play over Janssen in the lineup I posted. Should be released any minute.
There it is - COYS Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial 5s5 seconds ago #THFC team: Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli, Lamela; Kane (c) Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial 40s41 seconds ago Subs: McGee, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Onomah, Winks, Janssen, Son #COYS
Only silver lining is that Walker has an extra week to rest. He's been great this season so need him back soon.
Heads need to be pulled out of asses during the half. How we haven't challenged this shit back line more is pathetic.
Word, talking shit to my ex-boss 'pool fan, it's been an interesting half. We were so fluidly pressing in the first quarter of an hour, since then, they've been playing these killer long balls to take advantage of our forward positioning, and I feel like the back line is balancing fuckups between failing to rotate and not tracking Mane's incisive runs.
