I’m kinda rooting for them to beat Marshall by 1 after seven OTs or something crazy. Get the win for the conference but just destroy whatever tiny amount of hope any of their fans have for being relevant ever again.
I believe we broke them. They started losing the same week we came back against Memphis. They saw it and knew anything they did this season wouldn’t matter and gave up on life
I wonder if Charlie would be a good dc again when his hc career is done. Might coincide with Randy retiring....
I wish I could call back to 2007 when a younger (and thinner) Mr Bulldops was angrily watching USF administer the 64-12 beat down of the Knights and just be like “don’t worry fam, it’s cool. Everything’s going to be cool”
USF has a weird fanbase because there is still a solid like 25% of it that thinks they are better than us for some reason.
just to be told "this is them peaking" in that moment would've been comforting. "they will hang on dearly to this #2 ranking for years to come, for it is all they will ever have."
not only that they think they are better than us, but that they have this moral high ground over us and that we are a super dirty program that murders children to get to the top.
So they sold 14k tickets for that game and somehow around 12k showed up. I don't blame people for not showing up with that weather but that sales number is horrible.
UCF Twitter needs to get their shit together. These people are irrelevant and you are only amplifying their voice.
Not terrible other than some factual errors like confusing USF and Cincy and Golden Knights oh and saying our WRs are average when all 3 are prob playing in the NFL in 2 years. https://www.andthevalleyshook.com/2...m-preview-central-florida-offense-josh-heupel
They’ll straight up run down a random sec burner with 0 followers for simply mentioning strength of schedule.
Sean Connery Stop replying to the troll thread and stop saying stuff like beating UF would validate our success. 1. The game wouldn't be until long after the streak ends so it would have no impact on this teams success. 2. UF is not a good football team. Beating them even this year adds nothing that beating LSU and Auburn didn't already add.
3. Its a joke of a deal anyway. IF we were even going to consider a 2-1 the 1 better damn well be at our stadium.
Why? The whole thing is annoying from both sides and the general smugness from some UCF fans is rather off-putting.
Because an away game in 2022 doesn't validate anything on this year's team when we already have a chance each year to play a 4 loss SEC team. The UF fans in that thread aren't trying to have a conversation, they're trolling.
My post wasn’t in regards to this year’s team.UCF’s conference schedule won’t be improving in the foreseeable future. I think UF fans and posters have been the most insufferable about this whole thing FWIW and I get that the bitch of scheduling is that you’re trying to guess as to who is going to be good years in advance. I just think it would be great to go and beat one of the traditional in-state powers that appears to be on the upswing. I also don’t want these past two seasons to be the ceiling.
Pretty sure we could get a better sec team like Kentucky on the schedule anyway. So probably a blessing in disguise that stricklen continues to be unreasonable.
The worst thing about that is you can only sign 25 new kids each year, period. Including transfers, grad transfers, everything. The only way to catch up is giving schollies to walk ons. He’s setting himself up to be under the 85 count with good D1 caliber players. Fuck yea.
If they are legit problem guys then good call but brings up a point of why some of your own recruits are such trouble and not buying in. Feels like he is trying to build an excuse to keep getting paid at least 2 more years.
Is there even a road back for USF? They have such a long way to go. They had 1 thing and that was AQ status with the Big East. When that 1 thing was stripped they are a decade of facility improvement and fan engagement from even catching up with their own conference members of Houston Cincinnati and UCF.
Strong thought he was going to take that job and in 2 years coast to a big job. Now he is miserable and stuck on a sinking ship.
1. Find a top tier QB 2. Hope Fickell leaves and Temple drops off with new coach 3. Fire your coach 4. Find a few huge donations to build your IPF and football facility Pretty much all of those have to happen for them to be a contender again. Problem is they can't afford to fire Strong, his recruiting and player development is bad, and therefore no one is lining up to support the program. Their AD is also a charisma black hole.
They will never have the level of fan or donor support needed. Shit it took us 25 straight wins and big dick Danny to get us the support we have now and who knows what will happen if we take a step back one of these seasons Spoiler we won’t take a step back, we are going to win forever
That is going to hurt. Those suspended: WR Darnell Salomon, WR DeVontres Dukes, WR Deangelo Antoine, RB Elijah Mack, RB Duran Bell, DB Donelle Thomas, DB Naytron Culpepper, DT Brandon Boyce, DT Armon Williams, DL Marquies Price and OL Jeremiah Stafford.
Wow, major motivation issue in the AAC this bowl season. Our conference peers are embarrassingly unmotivated when playing lesser teams. I hope UCF doesn't fall into that trap in our bowl.
A lot of their opponents are treating it like their super bowl too. It’s not everyday you get a chance to knock off a P6 team
