    Most of the people in charge are probably old money so they value names over records or fan interest. Bama played Duke in Atlanta this season which made no sense. UCF would have been a more intriguing match-up.

    im just thinking back to TCU playing LSU prior to them joining the big xii for one at arlington. i remember there was huge resistance to them too at the time, but they still got one. i don't know, seems like it'd work. then again it's texas and i'm sure there's plenty of alumni all around for TCU.

    Plus LSU has major recruiting ties to Texas (especially at that time when UT and Oklahoma were down). I think TCU was already in the Big 12 but maybe not when the game was scheduled. They also may have gotten a load of money from Jerry Jones.
