just a really down year for the Conference, and perhaps CFB in general, that we are in this position in a rebuilding year.
looking at SP+, its pretty clear we need to pull hard for USC on Friday. Want no part of Ohio State with all that motivation and a roster that can match our talent. Seems like a death sentence expecting them to lay another egg. Also they'd probably export half of hilton head and myrtle to the peach bowl.
Would be nice to see the team come out hot again. We’ve been starting so slow lately, and I’m really hoping that’s just due to sleep walking a bit through lesser opponents.
I hope this But think this is most likely. Knowing we will likely still make the playoffs with a loss isn't good for the SECCG.
Yeah if it's not a big game we are at maybe 75%. Hope that doesn't happen again but it's what I expect.
We have a major problem if the team doesn't come out fired up to win an SEC championship. We've got one title in the last 16 years. Bama and LSU have owned us in ATL
One of my best friends (UGA grad who worked at Nowhere Bar throughout undergrad) is looking for a pair or tickets for him and his son. Figured I’d see if any of y’all had or knew of extras. Thanks fellas.
I just can’t see any conceivable way y’all lose this game. Y’all won’t let Daniels run and that’s their entire offense. Some seriously weird shit would have to go down.
Yeah, and y’all are a much better team than we are. Last year’s natty should’ve permanently scrubbed this narrative away.
We just had zero cohesion this year for whatever reason (most likely reason being coordinators, but maybe there were other factors at play I’m not privy to). Night game in Baton Rouge plus our propensity to never take over a game when we had momentum cost us as it also did against UT. We ran a bunch of dumbass 1 DL sets and Daniels took full advantage of it.
I think they’re similar to us this year. Look much better on paper than they perform on the field. Given their injuries and propensity for being soft against physical teams (Michigan), I think I’d prefer to take my chances with them than SC who have a better coach and QB.
Think I'd rather play USC because the game will be in Atlanta if we win Saturday and I think it'd be a heavy pro UGA crowd. Think OSU fanbase would travel better
i wonder if his shoulder has had a reoccurring issue with it ever since that hit vs Florida 2 years ago
All I know is we have almost completely abandoned throwing the football and when we have he's made some really weak throws (also good ones when we needed it). Just weird. I'm hopeful that his small hands (although not fromm/Murray small) combined with cold weather has been part of the problem. Excited to see him play in the Benz and hopefully get back on track. The swag still seems to be there so hopefully I'm wrong on the health issue.
True. But If USC loses Friday night, us losing the SECCG and facing TCU first round instead of Ohio St is a nice consolation prize.
Its just that they have all the yummy rat poison of everyone telling them how bad they are plus comparable talent minus the fact our offense plays with its food quite often
Maybe this is hubris, but I think we comfortably beat everybody else this year with a ~B effort. I don’t really care who we play and I don’t really think it matters. if Stets comes out firing, nobody can beat us.
We've been "off" so many times that I'm not confident predicting how the possible next 3 games will go tbh.
Crazy we've gone the whole season and I don't really know what we are. Feel like we're more what eHo posted but not sure bc of the games you referenced. The way we turned it up against UT after looking sluggish has me optimistic.
Same. I feel like we're what eho says but man we've been so flat so frequently that idk if I want to ride or die with that assessment
