Just getting back to this thread, enjoyed the middle school insults (you're ugly, stupid, etc.), but back to the Tanner discussion. He handled the end with Spurrier awfully by allowing him to do whatever the hell he wanted at all times, including letting him walk away with his entire contract and UA money. He completely blew this Herman deal to the point that it was over before it really got started, and his hand picked successor for baseball sucks. He is a baseball coach that has no qualification to do the job he's doing. Ok, that is my reason for why he isn't any good as an AD. Let's hear some accomplishments to change my mind.
I don't think anyone here is really interested in trying to explain things to you. Nobody likes you, even within your own fanbase, and you're probably a terrible person.
I'm so glad I didn't donate money to you when you came to the message board begging for it Lol, pretty funny coming from you.
I still think Holbrook will be fine because he's still going to recruit like a mad man. But I wouldn't dare say that to TBS crowd - they think he is the worst coach in the country.
Yeah, complete agreement with you there. He is going to be a hot name next year, so why not try something ballsy? Basically take the Clemson approach and hire someone on the rise and give him the money to hire really good assistants. Just make sure he gets some really experienced guys to run the defense and for him to lean on. He's also recruited the southeast after his stint at East Carolina. Also could be someone who could stick around for a long time.
Any reason you feel Mullen would be a better choice? My perspective is I think Mullen is a safer pick because you know what you're getting. I just don't think we are that much better of a job to believe he would be substantially better. Lincoln Riley could fail miserably but he also has more upside. Would like to see Riley get a chance to take us to a new level instead of the 7-8 wins we'd likely get from Mullen.
The thought with Mullen is that if he can do 8-10 in Starkville playing in the West, then he could easily do the same here with the occasional shot at the division, which is pretty much impossible at State.
Think mullen would do better here than state. Easier to recruit here and less opposition in the east.
I think Mullen would be a great hire. Miss St might be the toughest job in the conference and he did great there. He has a great offensive system, has proven high level HC experience, and can recruit FL & GA.
The one plus with Riley is we can probably dictate to him who is going to be our next db coach. Spoiler
So mike carrera hit the gym and apparently became a legit shooter this offseason. His stroke actually looks pretty smooth now
Got good hands it appears tho. Still 18 give him time. Remember how bad Chatkevicious looked as a freshman?
I still feel the same way if he is seriously considering Muschamp. In the words of President Trump "He's a Loser"
I mean, I get that this is a tough year to find a coach, but Muschamp? I mean God damn.... ETA- Forgot. God has forsaken us. My b.
The formula is already there that the same coach will have less success at South Carolina than they did at Florida. I doubt he could get us bowl eligible in 4 years. Add on top of that, his Florida teams were boring as hell to watch. If we were are going to lose on a regular basis, I at least want to be entertained every now & then.
With the way Muschamp thinks, I bet Pharaoh Cooper would have been a cornerback his entire time at USC if Muschamp was in charge.
DJ is now on a Super Bowl contender @JungleBoi_Swagg: #ARIZONACARDINALS @AZCardinals I'm truly thankful and triple blessed for my opportunity to help this team win the Super Bowl this yr 3️⃣6️⃣
Can't blame them, I'd leave as well. Although if Skai doesn't put on some weight LB could be tough at the next level. Is he fast enough for safety?
South Carolina has expressed interest in Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma's 32-year-old offensive coordinator wiz.
Per FGF the Spurrier banner at WB came down this am. They are taking that as the white smoke from the Vatican that Tanner has his guy
