You can still float, and I'm sure there's some other spots where you can drink and chill, but yeah it sucks what's happened to the spot by the zoo. They made parking difficult, put up big fences, cops writing tickets, etc. But based on the link I posted and the crowd it attracted, honestly can you blame them? These ratchet ass meth heads are why we can't have nice things.
what about the spot where you entered right by the pool place? loved going there in the summer or during exam week. that sucks that its been ruined
that's where we always went and never really had a problem. it crosses the railroad tracks and then has a pretty steep bank right after but ton of rocks and never a ton of people im sure the townies have overrun it by now
Report: NCAA invited Gamecocks to tournament, never called back Spoiler NOLA.com is reporting that the NCAA called South Carolina on Selection Sunday and told the Gamecocks' men's basketball team to prepare for travel arrangements for their opening round game before never calling back and giving the bid to Vanderbilt. Talk about a March Madness stunner. From Higgins' mailbag in Wednesday's Times-Picayune: "Sources told me that the person that makes the travel arrangements for NCAA tournament teams had actually called South Carolina, told the Gamecocks they had been invited, then said to hold on and they would call back in 10 minutes. "South Carolina never got the return call. Vandy got the NCAA bid and then promptly lost by 20 points to Wichita State in one of the tourney's First Four games in Dayton." Higgins claims the Commodores' NCAA bid saved Kevin Stallings' job — not that it mattered after he bolted for Pittsburgh over the weekend. South Carolina finished 24-8 overall before bowing out in the second round of the NIT.Frank Martin later said his Gamecocks got 'hosed' by the selection committee. http://southcarolina.247sports.com/...ocks-to-tournament-never-called-back-44567104
Damn son we are playing 3 games in NYC next year Spoiler USC men’s basketball team has New York date with Seton Hall Pirates one of at least two NCAA tournament teams USC will play Gamecocks also have game against Syracuse next season Madison Square Garden will open its doors to South Carolina basketball in December. Seth Wenig AP BY DAVID CLONINGER [email protected] LINKEDIN GOOGLE+ PINTEREST REDDIT ORDER REPRINT OF THIS STORY South Carolina’s 2016-17 non-conference basketball schedule has its first date. The Gamecocks will play 2016 NCAA tournament selection Seton Hall on Dec. 12 in the inaugural Under Armour “Reunion” at Madison Square Garden, Seton Hall announced on Thursday. The game is the first of a doubleheader, with Boston College and Auburn playing the nightcap. The Pirates and Gamecocks will meet for the first time since 1974, a 75-74 USC win in New York in the only other game in the series. It will be one of three games USC plays in New York next season, with the other two at Brooklyn’s Barclays Arena. The Barclays event has USC facing Syracuse, a 2016 Final Four team, and Monmouth, which like USC was a No. 1 seed in the NIT this year. Those three games should give the Gamecocks respectable RPI and strength of schedule numbers, which were a factor in their exclusion from this year’s NCAA tournament despite a 24-win regular season. It’s a return to the Big Apple for coach Frank Martin, who has coached three games in New York since he arrived at USC. The Gamecocks lost at St. John’s in his first year but beat Manhattan at Barclays, returning to Barclays in 2014-15 and beating Iowa State. USC will also host Clemson and Massachusetts next season, while traveling to Memphis and South Florida. The Gamecocks hosted the Tigers and Bulls this year, beating each. The SEC schedule hasn’t been released but USC will have six of its 18 games against permanent opponents Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi State. Madison Square Garden called us and said "jk about the basketball game, we're actually gonna do wrestling"
I want this kid based solely on his photo Spoiler Concord (N.C.) defensive tackle Rick Sandidge made a return visit to Columbia on Thursday, and while in town was able to take in South Carolina's open spring practice session. "I got to see the campus, where the athletes stay at, the classes, the Horseshoe, and different areas," he told GamecockCentral.com. "I thought they knew what they were talking about." While the 6-foot-5, 263-pounder did not go into great detail regarding the defense and overall feel of practice, he did have a good time taking it all in on Thursday. "I thought the practice was great. We were enjoying the atmosphere," he said. The talks that the North Carolina product had with the USC coaching staff centered more around off-field matters. He said the main factor in deciding where he will become a student-athlete at the next level is finding a place where he feels at home. "I got to talk to Coach Muschamp and Coach Bentley. It wasn't as much about football." In addition to Sandidge's multiple trips to Columbia, he has a family tie to the university with his mother having attended South Carolina. Will that, plus USC's close proximity to his home, weigh heavily in his choice? "It’s not more of 'I had family there so I have to go there'. It’s more of my decision. South Carolina’s a great school but I’m nowhere near towards deciding." Sandidge, who will see North Carolina on Friday and Tennessee on Saturday, is not ready to name any leaders. "I really don’t have a rank, I treat all my schools with the same respect," he said
Shocked Clemson isn't even listed in his profile because clearly he's an admirer of the great Horace Grant.
my info comes from former byrnes players that have known him since he was a little kid and also. http://247sports.com/Player/Jake-Bentley-32264 his freshman year at Byrnes was 2013 and he tore his knee in August that year.
The JC spin zone will be in midpreseason overdrive very quickly on this one after he and Morrelol anointed McIlwain as Joe Montana 2.0 This continues to be an impressive fall back into oblivion.
I thank our Clemson friends for keeping this thread afloat. If it weren't for them, I dunno if it would get bumped. Must be weird to be the younger brother, be bigger than your older brother, and still have little brother syndrome.
I'm afraid I don't get how two really good QBs enrolling in time for next season continues our fall back into oblivion. Then again, I don't get the supposed jokes of any of our little brothers.
Citadel-level responses, guys. And Iron Mickey, I don't think I've been in this thread for many months. The delicate balance of the universe has clearly been restored, so no big deal...
I don't think I ever remember having to watch a spring game with a roster in hand to figure out who the fuck everyone is like this.
After seeing the actual matte black helmets I revise my opinion. They are flames https://twitter.com/GamecockFB/status/718843066635800576
Meh on the black but I assume recruits will love them. The palmetto at the front of the garnet tho gat damn
Well they said they were moving him to running back. But they used him a lot in the screen game and he was effective.
