I was on hand for that one and it was definitely sweet af. After losing 4 straight to them it felt like Chronicles of Narnia where the snow finally melts after 100 years of winter with no Christmas. Everyone in the upper deck was jumping around celebrating and someone accidentally elbowed my gf in the eye and I was like "sorry honey" and kept celebrating
I was there as well and from where I was sitting, it looked like it went in. Seeing those refs make the no good gesture was like an unexpected orgasm.
I would have had to wait two years to have that honor. And for that game, a friend of mines parents gave me their 50 yard line second row seats because the weather was terrible. Getting to eavesdrop on our players that didn't give a shit while we are getting our asses kicked (looking at you Jared Cook) was interesting.
I had to isolate myself around halftime because I had to come to grips with the fact that we were already about to lose our third game of the season. I would have been quite the social butterfly if I had known that third loss would never come.
Haha...know the feeling. We had 8 guys there and 3 left at halftime to go sit somewhere else in the stadium because we were all so frustrated. Found one asleep on the picnic tables after the game. Day drinking and bad football.
That was my 30th bday party. Had deck of Thirsty Fellow rented out and all my friends there. Everyone is leaving at the end of the third all "sorry the Gamecocks ruined your bday man."
I was in the westzone where he was kicking and my buddy claims he didn't get to see it miss because I was already shaking him in celebration knowing it was going wide.
Holy shit Mississippi state looked terrible. Hopefully we can get some momentum and who knows... 3-1 or even 4-0 is a possibility heading into October.
It would be pretty fun masquerading as a decent team at 4-0 only lose every single game afterwards with the exception of maybe Western Carolina.
Kinlaw dominated the boys from last chance u the other night in their game. Wants to be here in the spring but they think it'll be summer
Didn't see these posted yet but got discussed in a group text. Excited about both imo. http://www.thestate.com/news/business/biz-columns-blogs/shop-around/article100166347.html http://www.thestate.com/news/business/biz-columns-blogs/shop-around/article100171707.html
good the only "high end steakhouse" in columbia currently is Ruth's Chris, and that shit is garbage and i hate calling ruth's chris a "high end steakhouse" bc it's not
Holy shit. This Kristian Niemi guy is like Cola's Elon Musk, aka putting up his $ to make it rad. Both developments sound awesome
Hell I was excited for a new chain brunch spot that's gonna open next to Cantina on Main that I just read about in Free Times
I used to deliver their liquor and they were the most pretentious group of people I ever dealt with while doing that job. Same goes for the Greenville location.
Ruth Chris is fine for a decent meal but it's not unique or exceptional. Columbia hasn't had a great steak place in a long time. Years ago Diane's on Devine used to serve a really good steak but it started going downhill and wasn't very good the last couple years it was open. Niemi does good work and his food quality is worth going out to eat which is rare in Cola. Looking forward to trying both spots. Publico was pretty good - tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago.
My favorite steak in town is Mr. Friendly's. But really excited for the new spot on North Main. Who doesn't like to play some bocce ball?
Kid is in an office down the hall and I hear him bitching that he can't pass Italian and isn't there any option to get his degree without taking foreign language. ........no! Fucking man up and pass basic proficiency classes in a foreign language, or don't get a degree. Everybody wants to find a way around shit these days. Be a man and challenge yourself
Some majors require more/less but they all require some basic level I am 99% sure. But really the simpler situation is look around you at all the other boobs with room temp iqs and say they can do this so im sure I can too if I try
South Carolina's lowest ranked commit according to the 247Sports Composite is now one of its highest ranked commits according to 247Sports. Piedmont (S.C.) Woodmont defender Davonne Bowen has been elevated from a three-star prospect with an 82 grade to a four-star prospect with a 91 grade on 247Sports. (Photo: Woodmont High School) I watched Bowen's film for the first time recently and I was blown away by the athleticism that he flashes. At 6-2, 220 pounds, Bowen is playing out of position as a defensive end in high school but shows outstanding twitch and acceleration to the football. He also flashes some lateral movement skills in defending the zone read at the line of scrimmage. Where he really flashes is with his speed. He's been clocked at 4.6 on the laser in the 40-yard dash and he ran a 10.8 in the 100 meters in the spring. That speed shows up on film and it will be even more prevalent when he makes the move to linebacker at South Carolina. The bottom line with Bowen is that he is one of the most athletic linebackers in the country for this cycle. With South Carolina's foresight to transition him to linebacker, I think they're getting one of the steals of the southeast in the 2017 cycle.
Thanks for posting Ark I think people who have to be fools to question Muschamp and his staff on defensive evaluations.
yeah goodness gracious. i had never taken a day of spanish in high school and took that for my foreign language requirement and bumbled my way to a B. kids these days
I struggled with French my freshman year, and didn't apply myself like I should. Luckily, I was changing majors from history to public relations so I didn't have to take a foreign language anymore since my placement scores were high enough for the major.
yeah i took latin in hs but realized before the placement test i knew nothing so i decided last minute to give spanish a shot instead.
