I just don't think the o-line is as bad as others. The malaise in recruiting from the Spurrier's infected everything. Our entire recruiting cratered. Then take into account that we've had injuries from the first quarter of Vandy as well. All of that has contributed to what's going on. And us playing true freshman at QB, WR and RB and you have a recipe for problems. Also I think it's a lot harder to have a dominant o-line nowadays with how football is played. Unless you are the Alabama and Ohio State level then everyone is down on their o-line. Just how it is. Don't take this a full excuse for the o-line this year because I'm disappointed too. I thought it would be a strength, but I also have zero expectations this season. So any win is just gravy to me.
Ok man. You do you. For me, I just don't get the constant talking/worrying about what some other school - that you have zero investment in - is doing. Maybe that's just me because I work in athletics, but a lot of this shit is just tiring.

Let me say this as well, there a lot of good Clemson guys on TMB. But there a few that just make it nauseating. We get it, you don't like us. We've recruited mostly tall, lanky OL who are good for pass blocking. Which they do fairly well -- we just don't have the sort of QB who knows how to take advantage of that. Our QB's are short and and like to roll outside of the pocket to throw. Watching those guys try and run block out of the shotgun is just difficult to watch. Not only is that a very challenging thing to do, but also they aren't very good at it. They like to sit back and absorb the rush, not go out there and hit a linebacker.

I actually don't mind a couple of the Clemson posters but they have a few that are rivals level bad. Like arguing with a 4 year old. Private boards are for pussies too. Discuss football and when your team is bad own it. When they are good be happy. Not hard to do. OL is the biggest disappointment so far just because they were the one unit supposed to be good this year. Pleasantly surprised by a couple of the WRs and our DLs play. KY game will be some bad football on both sides but hope we escape with an ugly win. Recruiting in 2017-18 should be real interesting since our new staff actually puts a lot of effort into it. Nice change.
Jesus Gaffrican Not only have you never noticed anything remotely negative with regard to your program (which is impressive coming off a Citadel loss and a Muschamp hire), but you also feign ambivalence toward Clemson. I get that you're a hotshit industry insider and all, but I'm not sure you're actually a Gamecock fan at all. You seem to be failing at the two most identifiable traits of all Gamecock fans.
I've said that we suck, and there's not reason to get overly upset at anything this season because of that. The season was never going to be better than a 6-6 campaign. The talent just isn't there. I mean, I don't think that's a positive or negative view - just a realistic one. And I'm a huge Gamecock fan. My desk at work is literally covered in Gamecock memorabilia. I'll attempt to explain: When you work in athletics, you learn to not get too up or down about any of this stuff. You just can't do it because if not you can't do your job. Also because you're around sports as a profession you tend to not care for the more trivial things anymore. It's just how it goes. Now the stuff, like X&O's, strategy, long views of programs - I still love. And I appear to "feign ambivalence towards Clemson," because mostly I don't care what you y'all do. It doesn't effect my life in any way. Sure, I love to see you lose, but if you get a big win I don't get mad either. You're a good program - you will win games so it does my health no good to worry about it.
You guys went out of your way to troll Clemson in threads that had nothing to do with you when you were on your high horse for a few years. It happened, so let's not pretend it didn't and act like you are above it now.
I doubt the whole sports message board thing would have taken off if primary rivals weren't permitted to post in threads that involved the other. You ought to be thankful there are folks out there with thicker skin than you and some of your colleagues. The schadenfreude factor goes down exponentially when your rival goes into hiding at the first sign of adversity and there isn't anyone around to feel superior to.
This has always been a Gamecock theme except for those rare occasions when you pull the upset over Citadel, so I'm not sure why you're so emotional now.
