@CONCACAF: Red card CAN - No.3 Giuliano FRANO #CMOQ2015 #CONCACAF @ussoccer @CanadaSoccerEN http://t.co/QZGgGNNvqp Ref is maybe 7 or 8 feet away. You can hear the players yelling but no swearing. Clearly head down the entire time. Maybe he said something the Mexican didn't like but no way should that be a booking.
I saw it happen. I am recording both the friendly and this and watched it multiple times I said I agreed with you then but who knows what he said so maybe he said something really offensive. I'm not sure what else you want from me
Excited to see Pulisic, de la Torre, Perez, etc. starting this Saturday but then remember Richie Williams is the coach and we're in a difficult group, with the opening match being the king kong of the U17 world.
U.S. Soccer YNT @ussoccer_ynt 14m14 minutes ago U17s starting XI v Nigeria: W. Pulisic; Olosunde, Nelson, Trusty, Arellano (c); Calvillo, C. Pulisic, Zendejas; Wright, Gallardo, Perez
Nigeria up 1-0 now off a poor clearance. They've been the better team since the middle of the 1st Half.
More comical defending. At least the offensive possession and play on the ball looks better than what you see from the USMNT.
How is Nigeria always so good on the U17 level, but never does anything on the SR team level? I didn't see any of the game, but they must just have all Haji Wright types that just overwhelm by being fast and physical compared to the age group, but have not technique that translates when the physical advantage is marginalized at the SR team level.
Disappointing result especially up 2-0. Just bunked after getting the 2 goals and let them pepper the goal with shots. Outshout 29-6. This is a team that we beat twice in Tournaments already with the U17. This team has played together so much to be so discombobulated at times. It also has plenty of talent, but the line-ups and coach are not maximizing it. Frustrating. Pulisic and De La Torre looked good. Also like Nelson. Haji Wright has really hit a wall.
Tab Ramos and Richie Williams get so tight when playing in these tourneys. They are so damn afraid to lose games that they play this stupid ass way. I wish we would get more aggressive with each goal rather than the opposite. It isnt the end of the world if we dont advance at the youth levels if we are showing our talent and ability and playing good soccer. If we give up some goals, oh well, but dont jsut sit back and bunker and still give up the goals.
Pulisic just got called up to the first team at Dortmund after continuing to rape on their youth team. Goddamn I hope he ends up being the real deal.
He has one of the highest ceilings of the youth setup, so getting into the first team picture for Dortmund is big time
CCV has been a rock for our U21's but I wouldn't mind seeing him loaned out to a lower league side to cut his teeth a bit, I think it would help his development.
Pulisic got an assist and should have had a second for Dortmunds first team in a friendly against Frankfurt
Brian Sciaretta@BrianSciaretta Christian Pulisic scores for Dortmund and Jordan Morris assists for Werder Bremen. Big morning for a pair of young American players https://twitter.com/raphibvb/status/688006204036149248
Breaking: Jordan Morris will not be joining Werder Bremen. According to club, Morris "sees future in America" http://www.werder.de/de/profis/news/57711.php…
I have mixed feeling about this... For the long term development of the USMNT, the team needs the MLS to be as good as possible, so this is a step in continuing to develop the domestic league. However, in the short term and for maximizing Jordan Morris' skills, he needs to be as far away from the MLS as possible, because obviously right now it isnt the best league to develop him. I personally wish we sent all our guys to the Eredivisie until they are 24-25. But this is another step for the MLS and congrats to them, hopefully they dished out some cash... Now give me Pro/Rel.
