This was called at half: It's played out exactly like this. We've been dominated all match and EPB just blew an open net header at the death to win.
Fell asleep. Just got to the end of regulation. Can't believe we are in this, or the chances we had to win it late. Got really lucky with the crossbar and Klinsmann has made some nice stops. Couldn't avoid the thread any longer. If we win it will not feel like a fair result but really nervous for this ET. Not reading anything until it's over but has to finally post something. Holy shit at that over the top ball to start ET
Immediately thought of Wondo on that miss. Williamson was the guy that gave us a chance, had the great block then finally a couple tackles in midfield and nice passes to the forwards. That 10 or so minutes when we were on top was bc of him. Lennon and De la Torre couldn't have been more useless, just completely abused physically and typically had shit touches when they did get space. Ebibisse was every bit as terrible, great sub there Tab. Only thing worse than those 3 was Warren Barton's commentary and bullshit cheerleading of that performance
Lol at Cordova not scoring, conservatively he had at least 15 shots Klinsmann was great as was the crossbar
Pleased we got to the QF's with this roster, but that was still a very disappointing performance last night.
Also Jesus (no pun intended) @ FC Dallas' youth academy. Weston McKennie, Paxton Pomykal, and Ferreira all within 2 years of each other. Kellyn Acosta too.
to me he seemed ok after the bandage was put on to me and i didn't see anything post game alluding to him needing to come off because of the injury
I enjoyed the segment where they were even getting annoyed by Penaranda falling down. "And Penaranda has lost his footing again, and he's regained his footing, and he's on the ground again."
I've been saying it forever. FCD is in a league of their own. It's great what they're doing. They're going to score 60 points for a third straight year this season, no one else in MLS history has done that twice. And each year they've gotten younger. Oscar and his staff are great at spotting and developing talent.
Ullyses Llanez is back playing with the US U17's. The US and Mexico have been having a tug of war over him in recent months so that would be a huge recruiting win. Now we just have to get Efrain Alvarez too.
Mexico getting Efrain Alvarez right now makes me so sad, that kid is incredible. Sucks when these kids grow up in such a pro El Tri household. Hopefully we can sway him back our way.
Hopefully Pareja is the new USMNT manager once WC qualifiers are over or at least after WC 2018. He does such a great job with player development and would be vital for the talent we do have coming up in the new cycle.
They introduced them at halftime tonight and played a clip of them talking about coming through refugee camps. Was pretty cool.
