http://www.metro.us/sports/erik-palmer-brown-transfer-rumors Its a shame the best young talent on our team and he wont see any real playing time for Sporting.
I mean if we're dreaming here ____Sargent/Haji-Bobby_______ Taitague-Pulisic-McKennie-Weah Fossey-Brooks-CCV/EPB-Yedlin __________Horvath Or Something like ______Sargent/Haji/Bobby______ ____Taitague-Pulisic-Weah_____ _______Adams-McKennie_______ Fossey-Brooks-CCV/EPB-Yedlin __________Horvath Then there's a host of other guys like Hyndman, Miazga, Gaines, Olosunde, Koreniuk, Acosta, that could be in there too.
Besler/Opare CB pairing is one of the best in the league, but surprised EPB wasn't elevated about Kevin Ellis. I think Vermes knows that EPB is going to be gone though during the summer and doesn't want to integrate him into the roster.
I understand why he wasnt playing just wish he could get some playing time in bs concaf games before we transfer him out.
U17 CB/DM James Sands signed HGP with NYCFC. Their first HGP signing, but really isn't joining them until after the season. Focusing mainly on U17 WC.
Klismann getting a trial with Hertha Berlin: http://www.espnfc.com/story/3146414...r-jonathan-klinsmann-gets-hertha-berlin-trial
McKinze Gaines just signed for Darmstadt on a 3 year deal from Wolfsburg, where Wolfsburg can buy him back at the end. Great, great move. Excited to see what he can do this year.
Can you or those in the know give a quick run-down of modern day recruiting battles and more interestingly big ones on he horizon for big time prospects?
I'd probably reserve the first question for someone like triceratops but as for the second: Jesus Ferreira, son of David Ferreira who was a good player for Colombia in the 2000's. Already scored in his MLS debut at 16. Mostly played for the US and seems to be leaning that way. Tim Tillman. Germerican who plays for Bayern's youth teams. Seems really good but I'd bet he ends up playing for Germany provided he's good enough to get a call up. Kyle Scott: English midfielder who plays in Chelsea's youth setup and won a bunch of trophies with them. Kai Koreniuk: Just joined AZ from Vitesse and was invited to a couple dutch camps. Seems to be all USA. Brandon Austin: 18 yo Keeper for Tottenham. Dad was an american basketball player IIRC. Between USA/England. Konrad De La fuente: One of the best prospects of any age group currently in Barcelona's academy. I'm sure I'm forgetting some
FC Dallas Academy striker Shaft Brewer (Hell of a name) signs with RB Leipzig. Doesn't turn 18 for a few months. FC Dallas continues to pump out talent.
More Gaines friendly action. Scores the second goal, earns the PK right after, and has an assist later on.
Its great that they're heading to Europe (or will eventually go overseas) but Miazga, Olosunde, and Adams would have been pretty sweet
So all indications are that Sargent should be able to play. This team could make some noise. In other Sargent related news, apparently his dad said his top 2 are Bremen and (shocker) Schalke.
Gaines scored again today for Darmstadt in preseason action. The teams they're playing are hot garbage as anyone can guess, but locking down a starting spot on one of the best teams in the II Bundesliga at 19 would be pretty huge.
So EPB has started for SKC in their last two matches and been a complete boss apparently. Nice to finally be seeing the results afters a few years of hype and not much to show for it. DirtBall
I was at the Philly game and he for sure stood out. He's an effortless athlete. Just looks to be going half effort but out runs/jumps everyone. He made MLS TOTW for that game. In the open cup match he had a hell of a game again. Made a lot of solid 1v1 plays. Needs to work on his positions and reading of the game but the talent is there for sure.
http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/the9...a-ridiculous-assist-for-schalke-in-preseason/ Wes' ability to perfectly weight through balls his last couple games has been insane. Currently creaming myself imagining Pulisic making those runs for him.
i mean he has to get called in, before russia, if he becomes a sub with the odd start for schalke right?
Haji Wright not in the1st Team plans for Schalke going into the season, so he is currently training with their U23. Schalke U23 is in the 5th division, so Wright probably needs a bigger challenge. Loan looks like it is forthcoming similar to what happened with Gaines.
Not too much of a shocker. Was always going to be an uphill battle. A loan to a Bundesliga II team would be great for him imo
