Twellman hit it on the head when he commented on the US never having decent passing options in possession. But while he blames it on the players being gassed from their defensive effort, I blame it on them not knowing what the fuck they are doing. Bradley, Jones, and Bedoya were terrible in possession, and I don't think Williams is going to significantly improve that situation. ...and if it is that they are gassed, then how is that not an indictment of our supposedly top notch/advanced approach to fitness?
also nobody wants the ball in the final third. We had a few situations where somebody lucked into the ball in a dangerous spot and they all ended with shitty square passes instead of trying to make an aggressive play towards goal.
Obviously we're out-classes, but our attack is lame. We attack with 3 guys whereas Brazil has 6+ making moves.
Cameron had it out wide there and Bradley was just jogging away when the only other player in the area was Jozy. Like how do you score with only two players attacking?
to be fair, Bradley started to make a run forward and Jozy was just out for a morning fucking jog getting in the way. Seriously, fuck Jozy's work rate tonight. It's shameful.
