have we ever had a player score a goal for the U23 and senior teams in the span of 1 week? Pretty incredible, good couple weeks for athletes named Jordan... *engage "golfers are not athletes" shield*
Tensions between MLS and JurgenKlinsmann have gotten a lot of attention over the last few months, but lately things have been more kumbaya between the two sides. Last week top execs from all 20 MLS teams had a five-hour meeting in New York with U.S. Soccer and Double PASS, a Belgian company which is conducting an exhaustive audit of all aspects of U.S. youth development this year. Double PASS has worked with the World Cup-winning German federation for years, and the costs for the U.S. audit are being split by MLS and U.S. Soccer. Week-long on-site visits to every MLS team by Double PASS will take place in the summer and fall. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/18/s...ams-to-try-to-close-gap-with-europe.html?_r=0
Glad to see us being proactive (finally) on the youth development side, I picture Klinsy ending up in charge of that when he's done as coach.
U.S. Soccer announced Monday that the USMNT will take on Guatemala on July 3 at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. The contest will take place just four days before the USMNT’s Gold Cup opener against Honduras in Frisco, Texas.
she wears the Hypervenom and Hypervenom 2 comes out soon so they didn't want her on a poster that focuses on footwear

1. That was like a goal from the original Nintendo system, where you could shoot from just over the center line and bend it to either corner, out of the keeper's reach. 2. He looks like he's put on some (good) weight.
U.S. midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has had a good season at France’s Nantes and was recently the team’s Man of the Match in a game against PSG. Now Bedoya, who earlier this season signed a new extension with Nantes through 2019, is drawing interest from teams in the German Bundesliga and the English Premier League, according to his agent, Lyle Yorks, who just concluded a trip to Europe. Yorks added that he’s had conversations with Champions League teams in Belgium and Denmark, as well as teams in Germany about another of one his clients, D.C. United’s Perry Kitchen. Kitchen has two caps this year with the U.S. national team and is in the last year of his MLS contract.

wonder if cleaning up Concacaf/Conmebol will open the door for the USMNT being invited to Copa America more often; beyond the 2016 one obviously
Mexico has better depth so they can at least put out a respectable B or C team, we'll just get slaughtered if we do right now.
Roster named for the friendlies vs Germany and Netherlands Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake) and William Yarbrough (Club Leon). Wait are you actually happy about Wood being on the roster? Follow up, are you related to Bobby Wood?

Jurgen said today Jones is back to being a midfielder. And honestly Mix hasn't played well enough to warrant a starting spot but someone has to play on the right wing. Yedlin would be my choice from this roster but he's barely played in months
I just enjoy seeing the shit storm him being called up usually brings. However I am not related to him but gonna hold onto the I still think he can improve camp for now so I can say told you so.
Question after seeing a bit of the Galaxy match tonight, and the stats on Charlie Davies, any chance he ever gets back to the National team?
I mean he barely plays for a team the got relegated from Bundesliga II. He's scored 2 goals the last 2 seasons. 5 the last 3 unless you're counting goals for 1860 Munich II, the reserve squad for a Bundesliga II club. There's plenty of bitching about Wondo but at least he plays and scores for his club. Not saying I want to see him but that there's at least some justification for it. Same for Jack McInerney if you want a younger guy. Andrew Wooten plays more and scores more in the same league as Wood.
I doubt it, but he has been able to turn into a very good MLS forward. Also NE Revs are loaded in the midfield and at forward and under Heaps have a system that seems to develop and find places for players to succeed. Agudelo, Davies, Bunbury, Nguyen, Rowe, Jones, Fagundez, Caldwell. Dorman and Tierney can still play. They really should probably sell Fagundez. Can't even play all those players.
Clicking a link from a link to another thread from inside a thread always logs me out or takes me to the temp board. It's weird.
