A: Westeros: Total War is a modification for Medieval 2 Total War. It is based on the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' (ASoIaF) novels by George R.R. Martin. Q: Is the Kingdoms expansion required to play the mod? A: Yes, you will also need the expansion patched to 1.5. Q: Will the mod be primarily base on the books? Or the HBO series, Game of Thrones? A: This mod is completely based on the novels. We may draw little references from the television series, but that's about it. This mod was in production before the series, and thus all our art references come from aSoIaF art, real life, and our own, lucid imaginations. open link for the whole FAQ
I would kill for a decent ASOIAF rpg where you could raid all of the great houses and shit to collect valyrian steel weapons and such. Your characters would get bonuses depending on where they were from (more gold drops if you're a Lannister, Cold Resistance if you're a Stark, Poison damage if you're a crannogman, Fire Resistance if you're a targ, Added stealth if you're a Faceless man, added attack speed if you're a Braavosi, etc.) End boss would be targs and dragons after a horde of Others.
I imagine someones working on a mod for Skyrim. Theres also Mount and Blade as well as the upcoming War of the Roses. All those titles naturally lend themselves to ASOIAF mods.
yea the review is posted in this thread. http://www.the-mainboard.com/index....hrones-video-game-book-spoilers.109679/page-2
The creator recently put out a list of all the Generals/Princesses/Diplomats in the game with over 250 unique characters. The list of Freys was pretty impressive.

Haven't read the thread and i'm not sure if it's common knowledge but Skyrim was almost based on Game of Thrones. Bethesda contacts GRRM and company years ago while they were developing skyrim and almost made it. In the end they decided they wanted their own IP and decided to do skyrim Hopefully it'll happen one day
