Went and saw Alt J Monday night and Tycho opened for them. I feel like Tycho would be perfect if you just plugged that in on an afternoon where you just had a shitload of work you had to get done.
My day is filled with bitch work quality checking, so I need some upbeat stuff to keep me focused. Odesza is perfect
Saw War on Drugs the other night. They were pretty damn good besides a lot of the songs sounding the same.
Been curious how they were live. Love Red Eyes and a couple other songs, but a lot of their stuff does sound the same. Was considering whether I should see them at Lolla or not.
I'd definitely suggest trying to catch a show. It sounds the same, but it's pretty damn good music. I couldn't follow them or anything, but they're definitely worth a glance.
eh.. w ell, this was supposed to fast-forward to the 16 minute mark. xenforo dont like that apparently
Run the Jewels - Oh my Darlin' Don't Cry. Spoiler Entierly greatful that I got up on these dudes because I already exhausted the little there is to like about Action Bronson's Mr Wonderful, slowly coming to grips that I might not like Kendrick Lamar's new album as much as I'd like people to think I like it and I could only play so much Big KRIT before I get another Citation for operating an 'amplified sound system past unnecessary volumes' ticket again. This song and album will put me back on the Filth's shit list, I'm sure, but Yolo, right?
"The Way I Tend to Be" is my favorite Frank song, but love so many others. Great singer/songwriter. The sound isn't quite as hard as Frank, but you should check out City and Colour (if you haven't already). Similar story to Frank Turner -- former punk band member who decided he wanted to go acoustic. Along the same vein, I'm REALLY digging This Wild Life. Here's my favorite of theirs:
I take it I'm not the only one being smothered in exclamation marks encased in circles for these videos, am I?
I saw Zappa Plays Zappa last week and Dweezil decided to delve into a lot of stuff from Frank's Mother of Invention days the second half of the show
Currently at an Eddie Money show. My god at the people here. Also, old people dancing and singing will never not be hilarious to me.
