That would annoy me the flux in Meeren is enough disease for me. Also why doesn't Jon Connigton just cut the fingers off? I know he says something like people would notice, but it wouldn't effect his fighting, without the tips of fingers. Even if it did he's much more effective as a leader than a warrior anyway, just don't let many people know, and he would still have the same fear. Just stupid iyam.
I think he wants a taste of glory before he goes out. He has always been a glory hound. He's been shamed ever since he failed to kill Robert Baratheon and end his rebellion. If it was known he had greyscale, he'd basically be a leper, and they'd probably kill him or quarantine him for the rest of his days.
Think shireen might end up getting blasted away by dragonfire. I reread the second book recently and first time we see her she is crying about a dragon burning her or some shit. Obviously could be nothing but this is Martin. Also in the second after Ramsay burns down Winterfell we get to see through Summers eyes for a second and he sees a snake flying away from the ruins of Winterfell or something. Think its the sleeping dragon. Also soon after that Osha comments about some racket being enough to wake a sleeping dragon. Wish I could remember the exact words but anyways I've never really paid much attention to the dragon under Winterfell theory but it definitely could have legs.
Was waiting for someone to post that. In Bran's last chapter in A Clash of Kings, he's having a wolf dream (i.e. he's seeing through Summer's eyes). The following text is from the third paragraph of that chapter: Quote: The smoke and ash clouded his eyes, and in the sky he saw a great winged snake whose roar was a river of flame. He bared his teeth, but then the snake was gone.One has to assume that this text is there for a reason, and not necessarily only to provide a vivid picture of the sky above a burning Winterfell. It's common knowledge that there are hot springs under Winterfell, and some feel this was possibly due to a dragon living under it. Never really put much stock in it, but you never know. I could see Bran actually warging into this one. Never really thought he would be one of the three heads of the dragon. So maybe he controls this? I don't know interesting theory though. after reading threads like this and seeing how much stuff is going on, i am convinced there are at least 3 if not 4 more books left Spoiler if GRRM was still a forty year old man....i am just praying he finishes at least one more
He can if he sticks to the main players. I don't care about Brianne and Zombie Catelyn or really about the Martells or Greyjoys (at least in terms of the main narrative). Do those characters really matter in terms of how things come together or are they just there?
I want him to tell his story. minor characters and all. the details are what is amazing about this books. I don't want to sacrifice all that stuff just to rush the plot. just please stay alive to finish it all.
I actually do think the Greyjoys are going to play a part. Specifically Euron and Victarion; they do have that fucking horn. I think Victarion uses his fleet to crush the naval forces around Mereen and then sets sail for Asshai, and brings Dany to Westeros from the west. The Martells I feel are there to pretty much put Dorne firmly behind Dany's back when she finally arrives in Westeros. Fuck Catelyn

I'd like a Wyman Manderly POV, he's one of my favorite characters. He's very loyal and intelligent. I feel like he's got all kinds of badass schemes up his sleeves.
I like him too. I doubt he'll ever have a POV, but it'd be cool to get another chapter like the one where he was talking to Davos.
