Current Table: 16 Wigan 34 Points-Played 34 Games 17 QPR 31 Points- Played 34 Games 18 Bolton 29 Points- Played 32 Games 19 Blackburn 28 Points- Played 34 Games 20 Wolves 23 Points- Played 34 Games Wigan Schedule: @Fulham, Newcastle, @Blackburn, Wolves QPR Schedule: Spurs, @Chelsea, Stoke, @Man City Bolton Schedule: Swansea, @Aston Villa, @Sunderland, Tottenham, West Brom, @Stoke Blackburn Schedule: Norwich, @Spurs, Wigan, @Chelsea Wolves Schedule: Man City, @Swansea, Everton, @Wigan I think it'll be Wolves, Blackburn and QPR going down (Bolton has too many games left), but I'd like to see QPR stay up and Bolton go down. My #1 priority is Blackburn going down as they deserved to be relegated the minute they decided their yellow away jerseys were a good idea.
I hope QPR and Wigan stay up, especially Wigan they deserve it. I think Aston Villa deserves to go down, they have some talent on the team and to suck this bad is inexcusable
I think Wolves, Blackburn, and QPR go down. I think those 3 deserve to go down so I don't really have a problem with that, I like following Wolves but they have just been fucking dreadful and the move to fire Mick obviously hasn't helped them any. I feel for Bolton with the Muamba incident otherwise I would rather see them go down instead of QPR because I like having a bunch of London teams in the top flight.
I think current bottom 3 get relegated, but I wished QPR, Blackburn and Aston Villa (fuck them for hiring McLeish) got relegated.
QPR for sure should go down, waste of time they haven't taken their stint up seriously at all. I wanted to make them my #2 EPL team but they've wasted a lot of talent in my eyes, should have been 12-14 this year not relegation zone. Wolves and Blackburn down as well. Wolves should have gone down last year. Bolton would be nice to see stay up if Stuart Holden comes back fit.
Hope it stays like it is. Blackburn and Bolton do nothing for me and only cared for Wolves because of Mick McCarthy.
wigan needs to go because that town doesnt care about soccer 18k a game when youre at the highest rung? go back to the championship pls
Definitely want Bolton to stay up because of Holden and Ream. Plus, Coyle is a good manager who was basically w/o 2 of his best players all year in Holden and Lee, then selling Cahill in the winter. They need to stay up too because they're in shit loads of debt. I share the same hate for Wigan, but like Martinez (glad he'll be gone after the season). Would enjoy the cluster fuck of QPR going down with all their overpriced wages.
ITT I find out everyone shares my sentiment of Mick. Just a shame that everyone wants Wolves to go down. I'll say Wolves, QPR, Blackburn for the drop. I'd like it to be Blackburn, Wigan, Villa. It's still mathematically possible for it to be Villa, so I'm holding out hope.
Pleased that Wolves are going down. Wolves play a brand of football that is a ball of shit, covered in vomit, dampened with urine, with BAD AIDS sprinkled on top.
Wow... if you feel that way about Wolves... how do you feel about me? Wolves are a lock to go down, sadly. I'd LIKE to see it be Villa, Blackburn, and Bolton.
Stoke is the anthrax of English Football, it's no surprise that the best players want to fuck off to Spain as soon as Stoke entered the league. The sooner ya'll go down and fold financially as a club the better. Ryan Shawcross should be in jail.
Just remember what team essentially just guaranteed Wigan's survival. lol For someone that hates that style of ball, your team sure did nothing to eliminate it from English football because it once again proved to be troublesome for a big team. What you don't realize is that it's a lot of the small, less financially fortunate teams' way of keeping games competitive. Wolves, Wigan, Blackburn, and Stoke aren't exactly rolling in cash. And for a team that "should've been relegated last season", just remember Wolves managed a result against City, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, AND put an end to United's invincible run.
Ya, I'm pretty sure I understand why clubs do it. It's also what has killed English player development because the lower leagues are filled with route 1 and kicking clubs. When they do join bigger clubs or reach the international stage, they don't have the technique or passing skills to be successful. Nobody bashes the clubs that try to play football, nobody bashes Swansea, Norwich, Blackpool or Reading (when they were up). The big clubs actually respect those clubs because they will try and play football in the sense that it should be played. Yes, Wigan time wasted their way to 3 points yesterday, good for them but it doesn't make the league any more appealing.
Call it what you want. I saw Wigan score more goals and a team that couldn't make the proper adjustment to counter that.
For what it's worth, Wolves played an attractive brand of football for 3 years in the Championship under Mick. Not sure why they abandoned it, but it was part of the allure. It's been sickening to watch Wolves lately. Whatever they're doing under TC, it doesn't resemble football in the slightest.
Ha! Fold financially? http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2010/09/where-does-stoke-citys-money-come-from.html It's an older article... but the fact is, we are debt-free and backed by Bet365. We are one of the most sound financial clubs in the EPL.
And parachute payments make it a hell of a lot easier to make it back. Wolves is one of the only clubs in England already eligible under FIFA Fair Play. Our management may have their heads up their asses regarding the product on the field at the moment, but they know how to run the club, spend modestly, and maximize their profits. I'm not the least bit worried about going down at this point. We have what it takes to be back in the next couple of years. As an Arsenal fan, you sure act like it's a huge fucking deal that Wolves are going down. Consider this: our most expensive player (Fletcher) cost us £7m. We were more worried about relegation last year because the TV money for this season allowed us to initiate the redevelopment of Molineux and pump money into our youth academy to get those facilities on par with the rest of the Prem. The only guy on our team from the Wolves academy at the beginning of this year: Hennessey At the end of the year: David Davis, Matt Doherty, Anthony Forde (I'm sure I missed 1 but those are all players that made stunning debuts given the circumstances). Forde's first game was 1 of 3 clean sheets for Wolves. Doherty's was a draw vs Liverpool I believe. Enjoy your gobs of money and still not being able to win a competition.
Parachute payments do help, which is why it is important to make it back within three years. If you don't, could easily end up like Leeds, Charlton, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough who have all struggled financially since the drop.
Those are teams that spent more than they made and couldn't pay back their debtors. Also see: Portsmouth, Plymouth Argyle... Wolves are in a position akin to West Ham or Birmingham. I think we'll have a very good shot at immediate promotion even with the distinct possibility of losing Fletcher, Doyle, Jarvis, Hennessey, and Henry (apparently Sunderland already want him). Hell, Henno is already down for 6 months with a knee injury. We're looking at either de Vries or Ikeme starting in goal next season anyway.

Really wish Villa could go down. They have much better players than any other team in the relegation zone and their playing style is shit. They deserve to be sent down.
I just hope to pillage the teams going down for some talent. So, yeah... Villa going down would be great.
That blows. So there's 22 teams in Segunda division. Does it save the 19th place finisher since the bottom 4 go down?
That's shitty. Bet they regret not selling Rossi for about 30m before the season. Now it'll be a fire sale.
