I what the MLS is doing lately. Smaller soccer stadiums is the way to go, it will bring more fans and improve the quality on the pitch. The next step is to follow the FIFA schedule and try to get teams to qualify for the Copa Libertadores like Mexico did.
need to get individual owners instead of having the league as a single entity. Will bring in money to bring in players. May eliminate the competitive balance, but this is a growing sport and would be good for it
Heard this on the radio this morning they said it will seat 18,000. I'm fucking excited for this bitch to get done
I get more excited about the MLS every year. And I love seeing our MNT players getting big in clubs other than MLS.
Huge news and great for Kansas City With NYRB moving out of Giants Stadium, Kansas City getting out of their dump of a minor league baseball park things are looking up for the MLS. Now we just need DC United's stadium to get moving and San Jose up too.
Not only are we getting an 18k stadium, there's also a new tournament-ready football complex, only helps the growth of soccer
Philly has a great fanbase and will hopefully bring some new fresh blood into rivalries with DCU and NYRB. The Battle of I-95.
Yea will be better than playing at the T-Bones park, its odd watching it there but they got great crowds. I think they will do very well with attendance at this new stadium, now if we can get a midfield, watch out MLS
' Chile how is this pronounced in guadeloupian...... Stephane? Please tell me his name is not stephanie! Take note of the ' of e. Stephane Auvray- Sounds like he is a pretty hard nosed player but not much of a scorer. Says he is captain of Guadeloupe but as only played in 10 matches for them. Since 1999 for his club team and 10 national team matches he has played in 246 games and has 3 goals -We are fucked. Says we signed a defender named Pablo Escobar from Columbia. Nothing brings chemistry to a team like a Columbian drug lord
I tried searching for pablo escobar and soccer to find anything about him and I just get pages of drug shit
Houston is also in the process of getting a deal downtown for a soccer specific stadium. Up next would be DC as they bleed money in RFK and it's too big and San Jose. Then, hopefully Kraft selling New England and them eventually getting a new stadium closer to Boston, there's a local suburb that's expressed interest, but Kraft owns Gillette, so no need for him to really build another stadium. Plus, Kraft is one of the whiny cheap owners in the league.
