For 2018 and 2022 England Russia USA Australia Belgium/Netherland Spain/Portugal For 2022 only: South Korea Japan Qatar It is widely believed that the 2018 will be in Europe so it will be between Russia, Spain/Portugal, Belgium/Netherlands and England. 2022 is wide open though. I think England in 2018 is the best bet, I dont like joint cups at all. I dont know why Spain and Portugal went together when Spain could have hosted by themselves.
If the USA doesn't get it in 2022 that means FIFA will have kept the world's biggest sporting event away from the only country that can break our own attendance records and probably turn a profit, for at least 32 years!!!!!! 32 years at least will have gone by between 1994 and 2026
Nope but I aint too worried. They want to host a bunch of the game in rugby fields. Rugby is king over there and the season is in full during the summer (their winter) so I dont know how they expect to move the rugby fixtures. I dont see it being a major threat unless they propose new stadiums.
2022 is a good slot for america they'll have plenty of billion dollar stadiums across the country by that point
australia can easily break the attendance record as well, besides that 94 wasnt exactly the best arranged world cup ever. that being said Ill continue praying that our bid for 2018 works as the final would be played in rotterdam (the city where I live)
Pffft America's bid stomps on Australia. The only reason why they would get it over the US is the for exposure and developing the game, similar to the US in 94.
Haha no chance you guys get the bid. The green World Cup is dumb and to me looks as a desperate attempt to try and compete with England. Our bid will destroy Australia and I am only worried about Dubai and their Arab money.
Yeah but they could just build all indoor stadiums or some shit. Also they never had one in the Middle East, so that fag Sept Blatter can use that as their reasoning. I think we get 2022, but Dubai to me looks like our biggest competition.
After reading the article on our bid, Gulati makes some excellent points in terms of why FIFA would find a return trip to the US being attractive.
The shitty thing is that 2018 should really be ours, but they ended the rotation of the WC after Brazil, and CONCACAF would've been next, but UEFA cries bloody murder anytime a WC isn't held in Europe, let alone two straight not being there.
thats not green :( green is better (never thought id say that, however if it helps ill take it, we never had the WC)

Australia is a huge threat to the US. They may have rugby (and rugby league), cricket and Aussie Rules but they have shit loads of stadiums of a great quality and are planning to build more. They are brilliant at hosting tournaments-the 2000 Olympics and 2003 Rugby World Cup were brilliant events. In reality it all depends who the blazers (cunts) in FIFA have a hard on for. If you wheel out Obama you have a great chance, Tony Blair pretty much swung the 2012 Olympics to London. They can get Stadium Australia in Sydney up to 110,000 too if they really want to.
I'm going to try and go with my pops when it's in Brasil. A guy he works with has a brother that works with the USMNT, so we could get tickets.
I bet they prefer going somewhere they've been before, especially in the bad economic times like these
