germany recently released their 27 man unit

Goalkeepers: Hans-Jorg Butt, Manuel Neuer, Tim Wiese

Defenders: Per Mertesacker, Heiko Westermann, Philipp Lahm, Jerome Boateng, Andrea Beck, Arne Friedrich, Serdar Tasci, Marcell Jansen, Holger Badstuber, Dennis Aogo.

Midfielders: Michael Ballack, Sami Khedira, Piotr Trochowski, Marko Marin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Christian Trasch, Mesut Ozil, Toni Kroos.

Forwards: Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, Stefan Kiessling, Cacau, Thomas Muller, Mario Gomez

so they need to cut 4 more

awesome to see lowe embrace the youth and creative ability instead of staying with the old guard. ozil, kroos, and marin are gonna be great for a long time. cant wait to see what happens to the midfield in 2012 when ballack finally retires and stops clogging it. hopefully he plays more of a cdm role in south africa.

this is a make it or break it tournament for gomez. either he becomes a good striker or he's the next kuranyi

strengths - midfield, strikers (sorta, as long as poldy continues his trend of goat play for the national team), goaltending
weaknesses - defense (kinda, lahm is great; mertesacker good, but unsure about the other two positions)

Right click on the actual forum part, and it should have an option that says "This frame" and click open in new window or tab, it will make it much easier to read. You can actually do it to most things on the net.

Rooney will be fine just in time to play us I'm assuming. Just saw that Gareth Barry is out 3-4 weeks so hopefully he won't play against us.

That may not be a good thing for us. I much rather have Barry playing in the middle than Milner who will probably coming in. Or they make move Gerrard back to Barry's spot and put Young on the left wing which is scary too considering our weakness at fullback.

Re: in here we post skeptical rosters for world cup squads

    Spain's roster
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has picked injured stars Andreas Iniesta, Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas in his provisional 30-man squad for this summer's 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa.

Iniesta and Barcelona team-mate Xavi have both been injured but the latter has recently been back in the Nou Camp club's side.

Fabregas missed the run-in to Arsenal's season and Torres has also been on the sidelines for Liverpool.

Del Bosque has included five goalkeepers in the list, with uncapped duo Victor Valdes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid youngster David De Gea joining Iker Casillas, Jose Reina and Diego Lopez.

Aside from the players who have featured regularly for the European champions in recent times, Del Bosque has also named Barca winger Pedro Rodriguez, Osasuna defender Cesar Azpilicueta and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez in the list.

However, there is no place for the likes of Bojan Krkic or Albert Riera.

    Spain squad

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), David De Gea (Atletico Madrid), Diego Lopez (Villarreal), Jose Reina (Liverpool) Victor Valdes (Barcelona).

Defenders: Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid) Cesar Azpilicueta (Osasuna), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Carlos Marchena (Valencia), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid).

Midfielders: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergi Busquets (Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao) Marcos Senna (Villarreal), David Silva (Valencia), Xavi (Barcelona).

Forwards: Santi Cazorla (Villarreal), Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Juan Manuel Mata (Valencia) Pedro Rodriguez (Barcelona), Dani Guiza (Fenerbache) Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla), Fernando Torres (Liverpool FC) and David Villa (Valencia).

*Please note that squad lists only become official after they have been submitted to and announced by FIFA.

ivory coast has a lot of good talent, but i dont really see a true creative player in their midfield which might hold them back

lol how pato has gone from "watch he's gonna be the goat in like 2 weeks" to being left off the roster for a world cup

    France's provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Cedric Carrasso (Bordeaux), Mickael Landreau (Lille), Hugo Lloris (Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Marseille)

Defenders: Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Gael Clichy (Arsenal), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Rod Fanni (Rennes), William Gallas (Arsenal), Marc Planus (Bordeaux), Adil Rami (Lille), Anthony Reveillere (Lyon), Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Sebastien Squillaci (Sevilla)

Midfielders: Abou Diaby (Arsenal), Alou Diarra (Bordeaux), Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid), Yoann Gourcuff (Bordeaux), Yann M'Vila (Rennes), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Jeremy Toulalan (Lyon)

Forwards: Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea), Hatem Ben Arfa (Marseille), Jimmy Briand (Rennes), Djibril Cisse (Panathinaikos), Andre-Pierre Gignac (Toulouse), Sidney Govou (Lyon), Thierry Henry (Barcelona), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich), Mathieu Valbuena (Marseille).

Raymond Domenech once again shows he has no idea wht he is doing and leaves Karim Benzema off the 30 man roster. Atleast he didnt put vieira in the squad and its good to see a couple of Marseille players get a shot.

Clichy, Gallas, Diaby and Sagna are included but Samir Nasri was also left off.

The French are fucking dumb for letting Domenech fuck up another tournament. No Benzema and Nasri is absurd.
