Pot A France Portugal Russia Greece Pot B Ukraine Republic of Ireland Slovenia Bosnia and Herzegovina First leg is November 14, Second Leg is November 18.
a team from Pot A will face a team from Pot B.....so four. I think France should make it, although the four away legs they will face will not be easy.
First leg: Nov 14 Second Leg: Nov 18 Away goal rule is in effect. Extra time and PKs if necessary on second leg.
Just a two leg home and away. Like Champions League knockout round. Winner on aggregate qualifies to the World Cup. Uruguay plays Costa Rica for the last combiend spot between Conmebol and Concacaf too.
I was looking at the other WC playoff match ups and saw that Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are playing for a spot. Who the fuck is Bahrain? Have they ever qualified before.
Bahrain is a island Arab nation thats 20 minutes from Saudi Arabia via bridge. They were in a playoff in 2006, but lost out to Trinidad and Tobago
Never qualified then I take it? That would be cool to see. Plus they are playing SA so I bet it's going to be crazy. I believe the MB needs to be pulling for Bahrain
Bahrain already beat the Saudis in the AFC playoffs, they are now facing New Zealand in the AFC-OFC playoff....winner goes to the World Cup. They drew 0-0 in Bahrain, so they need a result in Wellington to advance.
New Zealand is gonna win that one. They are gonna bring in the All Blacks and do the haka before the game. Bahrain will shit on their pants and forfeit.
Oh got yea, well I have rooting for Bahrain then. Would love to see them get in for the first time. Do you know when this game is
I think Republic of Ireland and Bosnia are better teams (France and Portugal have the names tho) and I can see them getting results in Paris and Lisbon respectively. It also helps that France and Portugal are horribly managed. Greece and Ukraine was very hard to pick. I think it's more likely that Greece gets a goal in Kiev than Ukraine in Athens. Russia is the best team in Pot A.....Slovenia is a tough place to play tho.
