Man, I just can't do it. I get bored so easy now. And quite frankly, the game kind of sucks. I wanted to see it as a new game, not the old WoW I knew, so I tried shedding all the old nostalgia and just jump in. But it sucks. The grind is atrocious. It used to be (and there I go) that the grind was mitigated by the rewards and the discovery. I remember finally getting my mount at level 40 after a long quest chain (for Paladins) that included a dungeon (Scholomance?) I had to run 2-3 times to get all the mats. When I finally got it, it was awesome. The grind up to it was fun and rewarding. The lore was (still is) amazing. Seeing new zones and discovering new things. Hell, I spent days in Duskwood because it was such a cool zone. Now, all you do is dungeon, dungeon, dungeon... Zerg as fast as humanly possible to level cap where you fuck around in your garrison and wait for Legion. It's a different game, and a worse one. All my dumb opinions, of course. You guys, the guild, have all been really great. People to run me through dungeons / zones when I needed an item, and answer questions and give money and items (thanks Warrensapp, Joe_Pesci !). It's not the people, it's the game. I hope they start some legacy servers, I'd like to play Vanilla again. I'll drop in before I unsub and send your stuff back, Joe.
give it a shot again when legion drops the lull between the last content patch and new xpac is not great. the current patch is almost a year old i think.
Ya, Legion will be amazing for about 12 months, hopefully we avoid the 14 month lull we got from MoP and WoD...
I know it's difficult to produce content as fast as we go through it. Blizzard talks of introducing an expansion every year, but that isn't feasible. What Blizzard needs to do is understand that they can advance the story in game and not tie it to a raid tier. Introduce a story that goes through a new quest line (not dailies), awesome cut scenes, and a rewarding conclusion (well told story development, and some reward like a sick mount, a title, or maybe even a unique mog set) every few months or so. Something other than their new expansion long legendary quest line. Why do we remember Vanilla and BC so fondly? Look at the major content patch "life": Also, I nerded out hard the other night. We are on a RP server, and we get little chance for world PvP. We are the most progressed Alliance guild. EQ had the best epic quests a long quest that gave you a bitching epic weapon for each different class. was so rewarding when you finally got it
