Seemed like some legit tension between JBL and Mauro a few minutes ago. They were popping jokes back and forth, then the commentating got quiet for probably 20 seconds in the middle of the match before Otunga chimed in. Throughout it you could kinda make out that they were talking among themselves quietly, but you couldn't hear exactly what they were saying.
Well Mauro tried to do some good sports play by play and throw the commentary to JBL with a question about adjustments....JBL proceeds to not answer it and say some cliche. Lol
AJ should win it and keep until Wrestlemania at least. Personally I would like Bray to go over Orton, win the rumble and Smackdowns Wrestlemania main even would be AJ defending against Bray.
Could Daniel Bryan secretly be cleared to wrestle again (or some hope in that happening soon) and this is the start of a feud that leads to him getting back in the ring?
I skipped smackdown tonight but I planned on watching it tomorrow. Sounds like it was a good show Holy crap Miz just cut the best promo since the pipe bomb. The fact that I don't know what's real and what's a work is the best part.
Miz didn't really say anything that was wrong, he could have walked away and wrestled elsewhere if he really hated wwe's decision. Plus Miz is one of the guys on roster its ok to say what he did considering his genuine love for it, not like a lot of dudes who turned to pro wrestling when other avenues closed.
I don't, he called Miz soft and basically said his style of wrestling is why the WWE used to suck. Did you expect Miz to just sit there and take it?
i am assuming it is a work shoot, where bryan was told to take it there. thus, feeling bad bryan was put in that position where his dedication could be called into question. i am not blaming miz. to the contrary, i applaud miz and think he was exceptional on the mic...as always.
I'm not sure what Bryan's purpose is on that show if it's off limits to say stuff like that. I would be shocked if Bryan had any issues with that promo. It makes perfect sense to use him in this way to get heat on active guys.
once SD adds samoa joe, and AJ gets the belt...we may be looking at a better product than raw. for one, the fact that it is 2 hours never makes the show feel like it is wasting time. eventhough the roster is not as deep as raw, there are enough guys to make the top seem as interesting as raw. especially if SD is somehow able to land cesaro or KO. now that would be a coup.
So with Sasha injured and Paige suspended, RAW's women's roster is Bayley, Charlotte, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Summer Ray. How fucking stupid is that? There just aren't enough women on the roster to have divisions on both shows.
If anyone gets shit for that it will be Bryan. He said "WWE style soft wrestling" and then quickly corrected course and talked about it's improved.
The coward comment from Byan to Miz was the alleyoop for the promo. He did seem a little uncomfortable that Miz turned it back on him though.
I've been back into the product and watching regularly for the last about 1.5 years, as much as I don't want to I always enjoy The Miz. He is what he is, but he's a great heel and pretty funny and has good enough matches. Even yesterday on Austins podcast he's like "the guy has 9 lives"
I really can't ever get through RAW in one sitting anymore. It just seems like too much of a chore. Smackdown I can watch live and it feels like it is just way more streamlined. Everything has a purpose and there is no wasted segments. HHH is definitely running the show.
Orton and Wyatt feud should be good. Only complaint is they have now booked Wyatt in another feud where both wrestlers need the win. But, I thought the interaction between them last night was great. "How's your head Randy?"
If miz was as large as Roman, he would be a top star and vinnce would have given him a hall of fame career
he'll still be a Hall of Famer. Great heel, longevity, loyalty, no skeletons in closet, multi-time champ, WWE champ, WM main eventer. He's a lock.
Really, by the time he is done I think he will be a HOF'er. I also think his longevity will help him a lot in getting in. He has been on the main roster for 10 years. WWE Championship (1 time)[240] WWE United States Championship (2 times) WWE Intercontinental Championship (5 times, current) WWE Tag Team Championship (4 times) – with John Morrison (1), Big Show (1), John Cena (1), and Damien Mizdow (1) World Tag Team Championship (2 times) – with John Morrison (1) and Big Show (1) Money in the Bank (Raw 2010)[241][242] 25th Triple Crown Champion 14th Grand Slam Champion
Yeah he will be, I guess I should have been clearer on what I meant. I didn't really mean it like he hasn't had a hall of fame worthy career. I meant it more like that he has had that career by making the most of oppurtunties he has been given as opposed to like Roman who Vince keeps trying to make a HoFer by shoving him into as many opportunities as he can
Yeah I agree with this entirely. Vince has always been his own worst enemy, holding back Bret Hart trying to push Diesel, etc.
Well, you've basically missed a year of Miz winning everybody over, this coming from a former certified hater.
that is actually what Shane was using as leverage against Vince, pics of Vince at The Miz's costume party.
Apparently, Jericho got into Brock's face about the ending to his match at SS. Jericho thought that Brock took it to far and Brock told him to either punch him or kiss him. I'm thinking both would have been bad decisions
I feel like a kiss may at least buy you a second of confusion to run for your life. But I'm not getting near him to find out.
