Ok so we have this discussion going on but I figured that this way we could actually tally up the scores and make a decision. We have 2 options: 1. League setup: -20 to 24 players max. Everybody play each other twice and runs like a normal league in real life. I'll device fixtures and games can be played ahead of time if people are ready. Tables will be provided with games played to keep track of progress 2. Tournament Set up: Similar to Champions league. 32 players max. We would have group stage first which would be round robin with everybody playing each other twice (home and away). Then knockout rounds with two legs also home and away. Until a final would be played at a neutral field. So pick your favorite and that's what we will use FIRST. I still plan on doing both. My opinion is we do Tournament set up first, see how it works and who are the people that are most active and get thier games at reasonable times and then narrow it down to 20-24 users and run a full league set up. Then the 2 champions can face each other for ultimate braggin rights. Pros and cons for your considerations: League: Pros: - Less people to keep track of - Can play games ahead of time so dont need to wait for people to play to move to next round - Better gauge of actual champion since no groups and possible hard or easy groups -FIFA already has set up Cons: - Too long - People not staying for that long (38 to 46 games) Tournament: Pros: - Shorter - Good Gauge of good user to use for league - more teams to play - knock out round is awesome Cons: - Too many people that may quit (CPU could take over in Legendary of World Class) - Would have to be manually done at group stage ( I dont think Fifa allows the set up we want but after knockout we could put it in I guess) - Groups could be too hard or too easy since we dont know players level (how good people are) FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN ALSO PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD IF YOU STILL PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN EITHER. When will the league begin? I haven't even bought the game yet lol. Hoping I have a week or two to train.
By the time the league finishes the pubic hair on my sack will have turned gray. Tournament. But I'm still in for a league as well. Even if I do have to buy Just For Men for my balls.

Looks like this is going to take some time to get started which is cool with me. Honestly I've been workin on advancing my Pro so much that I have yet to play a single ranked head-to-head game. I've done a few unranked here and there, but I'm far from ready to start taking on good players. Of course I'll go whenever you guys are ready, just sayin I been focusing on club play.
Yeah, I didn't think about that. I was thinking more like it would pit me against players that have had the game for a while, but I guess it doesn't know my ranking on the last FIFA and will just put me up against whoever, though they did claim records and stuff would carry over but maybe next year. Probably still plenty of casual FIFA players out there for the raping, guys just biding their time til MW2.
Ok so it looks like tournament set up won. I'll go home tonight and mess with the settings and see what we can do. Tomorrow I should have full details and official sign ups. As stated before dont pick teams, that was already done. If somebody that had a team is no longer playing then that team will become available.
