I was on a tear yesterday looking up games not coming out for some time. So, now, what's next? Is Overwatch the next big game coming out that a bunch of TMBers will play? For me, gaming is exponentially more fun playing with you guys/Team Dangle. Btw, I'm NomadHokie.
I did see that the COD4 remastered is shipping with half of the maps (10) than the original. Honest question: you are gonna pay $80 for the full Infinity Watfare game just to get the COD4 remastered?
That's a little depressing. I honestly enjoyed 90% of the maps on COD4, Bloc and Countdown was probably the only ones I didn't like. I'm going to try and see if somebody is selling it separately first, then if that's not an option, I guess i'll have to buy both.
The version with the remaster is only $64 with Amazon Prime. I do all digital so that's not an option for me. Also not sure if I'm even doing COD this year with Titanfall 2 coming out.
They said they are not releasing them separately at this point so I don't think I can justify buying half of COD4 (maybe a quarter since I won't be replaying single player) for $80 + tax. Really fucking sucks.
Buddy I game share with bought Dark Souls 3 and Battleborn. Loved Battleborn, but I got wrecked pretty bad despite typically being good at fps games. I'd prob still rather play Smite if I'm doing a MOBA type game, but maybe I'm jaded from going 0-10? against a team of 5 lvl 40+ dudes in my first game. Anyone else have battleborn?
Really liked overwatch. Bored currently. Doom or gears of war ultimate for multiplayer dumb fps? I cant decide which to buy. I never really played gears of war but i liked the gow 4 beta a lot
You will get destroyed in GoW if you aren't experienced with the series. Much higher skill threshold in Ultimate Edition than the 4 beta.
Witcher 3 is in the Skyrim/Fallout mold of massive open world single player RPGs. no PvP though I kind of wish they would put together something that would allow players to compete in gwent Kingdom Come sounds sort of like a Skyrim clone with a more realistic setting Crackdown is an open world sandbox game sort of like infamous, just cause and stuff like that. Think it has co op.
I missed the Overwatch demo, so will be interested in following the reviews and if it looks good will probably buy same with GoW
Probably personal preference but Witcher 3 was probably my favorite open world RPG of all time. Literally blew me away. I've played a lot of video games and the Witcher was truly amazing.
played on PC but it's right up my alley its a better version of TF2, more class choices, all the classes are very unique, super balanced and interesting so if you liked TF2, you'll love it
Never heard of TF2... Team Fortress? I'm serious, it seems kind of like Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 which I thought was amazingly simple/fun. Team Vanquish ftw. More games like that the better. So if TF2 is anything like PvZ then I may look into getting it as well.
yeah Team Fortress 2 never played PvZ GW ones, but they look like a supeerrrrrr basic version from the 2 minutes I watched on youtube, someone else can probably compare it to Overwatch better
Was confused on how they would make that into a movie, and even more confused when Fassbender, who I love, signed on. Looks surprisingly good. Or at least entertaining i should say.
Looking like Black Ops 1 will be backwards compatible tomorrow (well, later today at this point). Bunch of ads popped up on 360 dashboard talking about it now being playable on X1 and whatnot. It was my least favorite and least played COD since I've played COD but I know a lot of people love it. Digital is $10 for XBL Gold members right now too if you don't have your discs anymore. https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/...lack-Ops/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80241560855
Did anyone play any of the Elite games? The most recent sounds like an interesting concept, but boring af. Looks like Everspace is the same idea, but better? I've never played a game like this with any modern console.
Gin Buckets I have Elite Dangerous. It's an interesting game. Do not let the trailers fool you - its NOT a space fighter game or anything close. Can you get into space battles? Sure. They are very, very few and far between. It is an to-scale representation of the universe and space travel etc. so there are literally millions and millions of miles where there is ABSOLUTELY nothing. This is a space travel / economy / exploration simulator. You basically choose between four "professions" of explorer, quester, pirate, or resource gatherer. It isn't easy to jump into. Piloting your space craft isn't easy either. I think I put like 10 hours into it before I felt comfortable with everything and even when I put it down, I was still learning the different intricacies. With all that having been said, if you like that type of game and can dedicate some time to it, its a really cool game. The space exploration is so damn cool. Hyperjumping to new systems and docking at massive space stations is sweet. It's just a massive universe and a massive undertaking to get good. The only time I get on the game is after I smoke because the exploration is beautiful. Just remember, space is an empty mother fucker for the most part and this to-scale representation portrays it very well.
So Microsoft is recycling a bunch of original Xbox era gamertags today. Started at 2PM ET. I was able to get bic.
Quick hot takes after about 90 minutes of game time. -- I should have read up more on Overwatch before purchasing. Everyone loved the beta so I jumped in feet first. But leveling only gets you emotes and skins? Collecting stuff like that isn't my cup of tea. Gameplay is fun, but after about an hour I was bored. Easy to pick up and play any time, but I'm not going to get sucked into for hours on end like Destiny
I'm playing. Check out this thread... http://the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/overwatch-servers-open.163569/
Rocket League cross-play with PC players went live on Xbox last night. The game's developers are still hoping to completely unite the pool with X1 and PS4 players being able to play with each other as well but it was nice getting on last night and seeing more than twice as many people available to play with. That said, in about 15 games (some doubles, some 3v3 standard) we only matched up with 1 PC player.
Anyone play Quantum Break? Any good? They keep dropping the price on Amazon and it keeps tempting me.
It was interesting, but I ended up rushing through it to finish it. I'm not a huge 3rd person POV fan, though. I did like the video portion.
We need to get a crew that will strategize together. There's so little strategy when teamed up with randoms.
Best beginner hero for me was Torbjorn. My favorite after more hours last night is definitely Mei. Also, you made a good decision... https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/4l4e85/well_played/
Definitely in on some team Overwatch, it's frustrating solo at times... game is interesting. Not sure how I feel on it so far.
has anyone played life is strange? just finished it and loved it, but i really enjoy the telltale style story game format. just loved the atmosphere
