Are the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games basically like the X-Men Legends games for the original Xbox? Do the characters level up and can you fully customize (abilities & skills) the characters and equip armor/items like in X-Men Legends?
SIAP, when is the 500GB xbox one S supposed to go on sale/preorder? I would like to get that one (in addition to my launch day XBO) to serve as a 4k UHD blu ray player. its actually the cheapest 4k UHD blu ray player....unless the PS4.5 is similarly priced.
I think they're going to announce the release date for the 500GB and 1TB S consoles right around the time the 2TB comes out.

I don't understand this, if they can release the 2TB on August 2nd, what's stopping them from releasing a 1TB and 500GB on the same day?
they want to sell more of the more expensive model for early adopters/people who want it ASAP. The markups on those hard drives are crazy.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm waiting to see more info on the S and if Gamestop will be doing any trade-in deals. I haven't seen definitively anywhere if the hard drive in the S is an SSHD like the Elite which is what I have so if it isn't then there's no way I'm getting it. Not sure if I'll get a Scorpio either. Been at least 4-5 years since I did a solid PC build and with so many of the games running on Xbox and Windows 10 I can just build a nice PC and play games with my console friends through the Xbox app.

Yeah the madden bundle pretty much sold me on it, was going to get madden anyway - so $60, and I'm assuming I can sell my Xb1 for $200...so get to upgrade to 1TB, and 4k video for $100 or so.
this is the scorpio one correct? waiting for that one to come out before upgrading also, feels like xbox is giving up on the kinnect. will the S still be kinnect compatible?
Nope, and yes but it requires a different cord to connect (no dedicated port, has to have a Kinect to usb cable) I believe.
Ok, looks like I am waiting then. really annoying they have given up on the kinnect. it really is a great add on to the system and works great when set up properly
I bought the XB1 on launch day w/ Kinect and I could have gone without it. It's been sitting unused in my house for at least 8 months. I can almost always complete a task faster using the controller rather than my voice.
I see. The 2 TVs I use in my house are smart TVs so I don't really have a need to run the cable through the console. I see your point though
my tv's are "smart" as well. but it comes in so clutch when doing something that has my hands dirty/full. Can simply tell the Kinnect what I want it to do and move on. No need to wipe my hands off and find the remote.
dont upgrade to the new preview then. I stopped using voice controls as saying "hey cortana" is a bigger pain than it should be. half the time it launches the cortana app.
One of the recent preview updates allowed you to use Cortana or Xbox commands. They saw how unhappy people were with just Cortana after years of doing Xbox commands so it will be an option.
Guys that played Evolve. How was it? It came with my Xbox One, but never played it, and forgot about it until last night. I am debating never playing it just because of how far behind I'd be.
I played the alpha or the beta... I forget. If you have incompetent teammates it's just a 15-minute game of hide and seek. If you're a competent monster and the humans are incompetent you can kill them within a minute. I read recently that it's actually going to be free on all platforms soon so maybe there will be an influx of players and you can learn with them. My friends and I would probably check it out when it's free too since we all loved Left 4 Dead which is what Evolve's developers had done previously.
I really liked my Kinect until it just plain stopped working. Doesn't ever turn on or light up anymore. Definitely wouldn't pay an extra $100 to get another one then.
another vote for xbox commands over 'hey cortana'. "xbox turn on" as soon as i walk in the front door is clutch. never used it for motion gaming or that kinda stuff though. I think the preview version i ahve already supports both. I have a feeling there will be a non bunded 500GB version for less than $299 by the end of 2016. just a hunch.
Y'all pump the brakes on the Marvel Ultimate Alliance shit. Last I checked, it hasn't made its way to the store yet but I've gone from 6 to midnight and back to 6. Both games are a straight port. DLC is not included with 1. It is included with 2. No graphical upgrades. On PC, support for controllers is totally fucked up right now. And, of course, it's $60 for games that are 10 and 7-years-old, respectively. Activision can go fuck itself. There was so much goodwill to be had with their fans and they couldn't throw us a single bone.
Really weirded out that they did this. Super pumped for this game and now they are touting it as "unfinished but whatever it may change lmao"? I'm downloading the preview right now so we will see. My expectations are significantly lower now.
Did the same and there's a prompt at the beginning saying it doesn't include any of the story cut aways expect for the opening. WTF is that? The game itself is kind of bizarre, already tired of having to "sleep" every 5-10 minutes though.
Larger HD, the better in my opinion. I had to buy an external 1TB harddrive in addition to the 500mb standard one
how disheartening, I still might pull the trigger as Ive wanted to replay them for the longest time and both copies sell for quite a bit anyways.
so I played through the first episode of life is strange and thought it was pretty fun. are there different endings to the episode based on what you choose throughout the story? worth the $5 for additional ones? just wondering as I felt like I cruised through the first one pretty quickly
